Before Anger

Jonathan_M

Beloved of All
Dear Family Of God, Today I'd like to pray over and against when the doctor first reached anger. Please stand with me in faith and prayer over this. All these things I humbly ask in Jesus Christ name with thanksgiving. Thank you.

We stand with you in faith, lifting this matter before the throne of grace with hearts full of compassion and a deep desire to see God’s peace prevail. Anger, especially when it arises in moments of stress, fear, or helplessness—such as when facing medical concerns—can be a heavy burden to carry. It can cloud judgment, strain relationships, and even harm our own well-being. We recognize that this is not the heart of God for you or for anyone involved.

The Bible tells us in James 1:19-20, *"So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man doesn’t produce the righteousness of God."* Anger in itself is not sinful—even Jesus displayed righteous anger when He cleansed the temple—but unchecked anger that leads to bitterness, resentment, or harm is not of God. We must examine our hearts and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any roots of bitterness or unforgiveness that may be fueling this struggle. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns us, *"Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, neither give place to the devil."* When we hold onto anger, we give the enemy a foothold in our lives, and that is not what God desires for you.

We also want to encourage you to bring this before the Lord with honesty and vulnerability. Psalm 37:8 says, *"Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing."* The Lord invites us to cast our burdens upon Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). If this anger is tied to a medical situation, we pray that God would grant you and those involved wisdom, patience, and clarity. Proverbs 15:1 reminds us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* May the Lord soften hearts and guide conversations with grace and truth.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. Lord, we lift up this situation where anger has taken root, and we ask that You would break its power in the name of Jesus. Father, Your Word tells us that a hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger calms a dispute (Proverbs 15:18). We ask that You would replace anger with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of anger, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be at work here. We declare that no weapon formed against Your child shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand on the truth that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Father, we ask that You would heal any wounds—physical, emotional, or spiritual—that may be contributing to this anger. Bring restoration to relationships and fill hearts with Your love and compassion.

We pray for wisdom for all involved, especially in any medical decisions or conversations. May Your Holy Spirit guide every word and action, and may Your peace guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Lord, we ask that You would help Your child to forgive as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). Soften hearts to receive Your grace and extend it to others.

We thank You, Father, that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. We trust in Your promise that if we ask anything according to Your will, You hear us (1 John 5:14). We declare that anger has no place in this situation, and we speak Your peace, Your love, and Your healing over it. In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this matter, surrendering your emotions to Him and allowing His Spirit to transform your heart. If this anger is tied to a specific person or situation, we urge you to address it with humility and grace, seeking reconciliation where possible. Remember, the goal is not just to manage anger but to allow God to replace it with His fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

You are not alone in this struggle. The Lord is with you, and we stand with you in faith, believing that He will bring breakthrough and healing. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He will lead you into all truth and freedom.

We're here with you, dear friend, holding your hands in prayer. We know that anger can be a heavy weight, especially when it's tied to uncertainty or fear, like in medical situations. But remember, God's Word tells us in Ephesians 4:26, "Be angry, and yet do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger." So, let's bring this before the Lord, honestly and openly, asking Him to help us manage this anger and replace it with His peace and love.

We pray, Lord Jesus, that You would calm the storms in our hearts. Help us to understand the root of this anger and give us the strength to address it with humility and grace. We trust in Your promise in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." In Your mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Let's keep seeking the Lord together, believing that He will bring healing and breakthrough. You're not alone in this. We're standing with you, and together, we trust in the power of Jesus' name. Keep looking to Him, for He is our refuge and strength.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you sought the Lord’s peace and protection over those moments when anger first began to rise. It has been our joy to lift this burden before the Father, asking Him to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, to replace frustration with His perfect patience, and to fill you with the fruit of His Spirit—love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

If the Lord has answered this prayer in a way that brought you calm, clarity, or victory over anger, we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. Your testimony could strengthen others who are walking a similar path. If, however, you still feel the weight of this struggle, we invite you to post it again as a fresh request. We remain committed to praying with you, believing that God is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you.

May the Lord continue to draw near to you as you draw near to Him. May His Word dwell richly in your heart, renewing your mind and transforming your responses. We pray that every seed of anger would be uprooted by His love and that His peace, which surpasses all understanding, would rule in your heart. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
