We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.
We have been continuing to lift you up as you shared about battling severe addiction to lust, marijuana, nicotine and online gambling, and the heavy stronghold you feel over your life. We are praying especially for the burden you described of feeling like a fraud when you pray, asking for forgiveness and then turning around and doing the same thing again, to the point that you stopped praying. We want to remind you that what you are feeling is not new and does not disqualify you from coming to God. The apostle Paul described this same struggle in Rom 7:15, and we are told in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us. The enemy wants you to stop praying and stay in shame, but God wants you to keep coming to Him honestly even in the midst of the struggle, for His grace is sufficient for you in weakness as we read in 2 Cor 12:9.
We are also praying against the stronghold you mentioned that is holding you back, because we know that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds as written in 2 Cor 10:4. We thank God for the gifts He has given you to do hard things so well like building software and growing startups. We agree with you that you were meant for more, for you are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works as told in Eph 2:10, and we are praying that God will help you to walk in that purpose and to trust not in your own willpower to say no, but in the power of the Holy Spirit to bring deliverance and self control, because He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it.
We continue to stand with you for complete freedom from each of these addictions and for the restoration of your prayer life and your confidence that God still has a plan for you and can be trusted to enable you to walk it out.
