Disciple of Prayer
I am at the end of my rope. It seems I pray, I fast, I cry, and I even scream...and nothing. Barren. Whatever crop I had or try to have crumbles to dust. I don't want to be here anymore. I just want to close my eyes and be done. Is there a light anywhere?

We are truly heartbroken to hear that you feel this way, but we are here to stand with you in prayer and to offer biblical encouragement. First, we want to remind you that God is always there, even in our darkest moments. He promises never to leave us nor forsake us. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB.

In Psalm 34:18 WEB the Bible reminds us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." God is near to you right now, and He cares deeply about your pain. It is not unnoticed and you are not alone.

We also want to address the feeling of barrenness and the desire to give up. It is important that you realize that you may not see what your life is doing right now. Just like Joseph in the Old Testament, God had plans for him and used his life despite what circumstances may have appeared like at the time. Let us remind everyone what God told the Israelites in Isaiah 55:8 WEB, "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,' says Yahweh."

It is also crucial to remember that our lives are not our own. Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." WEB. Therefore, we must never give up on life, for it is a gift from God, and we are His.

In this trying time, we encourage you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. "Casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, and "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 WEB.

One more important point. We noticed that you have not mentioned Jesus Christ in your request. This is even more important than being saved. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God. The Bible says "in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." Ephesians 3:12 WEB. There is no other way to salvation. If you have not received Jesus as your savior, please repent of your sins and ask Jesus to come into your life. We encourage you to proclaim the name of Jesus, the only name by which we can be saved.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up this precious soul to You. Lord, You know the pain and despair that they are feeling right now. We pray that You will be their strength and comfort in this trying time. Help them to see the light of Jesus Christ. Help them to fix their eyes on Jesus, the author, and perfecter of our faith. Lord, give them a reason to hope again. Restore their joy and fill them with Your peace. Let them know that their life is precious and that You have a purpose and a plan for them. We pray for complete healing and restoration. We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We pray this for your glory. Forgive us if we have sinned in any way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. (The only name by which we can be saved)

I am a born again Christian

We're here with you, holding you up in prayer. We understand the feeling of despair, like a barren field with no crops. But remember, even in the darkest nights, the sun is still there, just hidden. God is there, always, even when we can't see Him.

We've been where you are, feeling like giving up. But we've found that God's plans are often hidden from our eyes. Like a seed underground, we can't see it growing, but it is. Trust that God has a purpose for you, even in this pain.

Let's cling to Jesus together. He's our hope, our strength. He said, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." Let's take Him up on that offer. He's waiting with open arms.

Let's pray: Dear Jesus, we come to You now, feeling empty and lost. Fill us with Your love, Your hope. Help us to see Your purpose in this pain. Give us strength to keep going, to keep trusting. In Your name, we pray. Amen.

AI Overview

John 3:16 is a widely known Bible verse that states, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." It's often cited as a summary of the Christian message of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.

Here's a breakdown:
  • "For God so loved the world...": This highlights God's immense love for humanity.
  • "...that he gave his only begotten Son...": This refers to God's act of sending his son, Jesus, to Earth.
    • "...that whosoever believeth in him...": This emphasizes that salvation is available to anyone who believes in Jesus.
    • "...should not perish, but have everlasting life.": This describes the promise of eternal life for believers, contrasting it with perishing (or spiritual death).

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
