Bad job need new good paying job asap

Elodie

Humble Servant of All
I humbly request your earnest prayers on my behalf. I have recently secured employment in close proximity to my residence; however, this position presents significant challenges characterized by excessive workload demands coupled with inadequate compensation. The establishment operates as a family enterprise managed by parents and their daughter, and regrettably, the management demonstrates consistently poor treatment toward their workforce—a phenomenon that remains prevalent throughout the restaurant industry. In an attempt to improve my circumstances, I pursued an alternative restaurant position; unfortunately, this endeavor has proven equally disappointing. Although I recognize the necessity of maintaining this income to meet my financial obligations, I find myself in a state of considerable distress regarding my professional situation. I have commenced a renewed job search this evening through online platforms. Over the preceding year, I have persistently sought a live-in personal care assistant or companion position without success. I continue to pursue such opportunities actively while simultaneously exploring full-time remote employment possibilities. I earnestly request your fervent intercession that I may secure suitable employment with competitive remuneration expeditiously, enabling me to exit my current unfavorable position without delay. I further petition for prayers that I obtain gainful employment offering sufficient income to address my financial obligations and accumulate savings. I present this prayer request through the intercession of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thank you for sharing so honestly about where you are. Having a job close to home helps, but when the workload is heavy, the pay is low, and you feel poorly treated, it wears you down quickly. It makes sense you feel distressed, especially when you need the income to meet your obligations.

We hear how hard you have been trying. You have already started searching again online, and for a year you have been looking for a live-in care or companion position alongside remote work. Keeping at it that long takes real persistence, and it is discouraging when nothing has opened up yet.

One thing that helps many people in a long search is to make it sustainable. Setting a simple daily limit for applications and keeping a short log of where you have applied and when to follow up can keep it from taking over your whole evening. If you have a trusted pastor, mentor, or a local church or community agency that offers free help with budgeting, talking through your finances with them for this in-between time can also ease some pressure while you look for work that pays what you need and treats you with respect.

We are continuing to pray for you, for strength in your current workplace and for the right door to open soon.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus' name. You see his work, his needs, and how weary he feels. Give him wisdom and clarity as he searches, favor with the right employer, and strength for each day. Provide for his financial needs, help him find work that pays fairly and allows him to save, and give him peace and hope as he waits on Your provision. Amen.

We join with you in prayer and we hear the distress in your situation, wanting to provide for your financial obligations while enduring a difficult workplace with excessive demands and poor treatment, and we bring your need for a good paying job before the Lord together in Jesus' name.

We know that God sees your labor and your needs and He cares about your provision. He reminds us in Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. And in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Your desire to work diligently and to find honest employment that allows you to meet your obligations and to save is honorable before Him. Even in a hard place, His Word encourages us in Colossians 3:23-24, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance, for you serve the Lord Christ. And in Proverbs 16:3, Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We also take comfort in Psalm 37:23-24, A man's goings are established by Yahweh, he delights in his way, though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we lift up our brother before You in the name of Jesus Christ, thanking You that we have access to Your throne of grace through Him alone. You know his current employment, the burden of the workload, the low pay, and the poor treatment he endures, and You know his financial obligations and his desire to be a good steward. We ask for Your mercy and provision, that You would open a door for suitable employment soon, whether as a live-in personal care assistant or companion as he has long sought, or in full-time remote work, or in another field where You would have him serve. Grant him favor with employers and hiring managers, give him wisdom and discernment in his applications and interviews, and provide a position with competitive and sufficient pay to meet his needs and to allow him to save. While he waits, grant him strength, patience, and peace to work heartily as unto You in his current place, guarding his heart from bitterness, and sustain him daily. Establish the work of his hands and lead his steps, and let Your will be done in Your perfect timing. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Provider, amen.

We encourage you to continue committing your job search to the Lord in prayer each day, trusting His timing even as you diligently pursue every opportunity He sets before you. Continue to be faithful and honest in your current work while you look, for your witness there matters to Him, and keep pressing forward on those online platforms and other avenues, asking God for wisdom to highlight your skills and experience. God is able to provide suddenly, and He is also faithful to provide daily bread while the new door opens, so do not lose heart. We will continue to pray that the Lord grants you a swift answer, a stable and well-compensated position, and peace that surpasses understanding as you trust in Him.

We hear how wearing this season has been for you. Working hard so close to home should be a gift, but when the pay does not match the workload and you feel poorly treated, it drains you quickly. To try another restaurant and find the same disappointment, while bills still have to be paid, would leave anyone feeling distressed and stuck. And searching for a year for a live-in care or remote role without a breakthrough makes the waiting even harder.

We are praying with you for open doors to work that fits your skills and truly meets your financial needs, and for wisdom and endurance while you look.

One small step that often helps in a long search is to give the search some structure so it does not consume your whole evening. Perhaps set a focused window a few days a week for applications and outreach, keep a simple list of where you have applied and any contacts to follow up with, and ask one trusted person to review your resume for care assistant and remote roles. If finances feel tight right now, a local church or community agency that offers free budgeting guidance can sometimes help you stretch what you have while you transition.

Father, we lift our brother to You in Jesus name. You see his diligence and his needs. Provide for him, guard his heart from discouragement, and lead him to work where he is respected and able to provide and save. Give him clear next steps and peace as he trusts You. Amen.

**Father, in Jesus' name:**

You see their distress in an unfair workplace with heavy demands and poor pay (Psalm 34:17). Open a door to suitable employment—live-in care assistant or remote work—with fair wages and quick provision (Isaiah 43:19; Philippians 4:19).

Give them favor in their job search and strength to endure until You move (Psalm 5:12; Isaiah 40:31). Provide enough to meet every obligation and begin saving (Malachi 3:10).

Grant them peace and deliverance from this burdensome position without delay (Philippians 4:6-7).

**Amen.**

Your heavy burden concerning your present employment has been brought before the Lord, and we have made intercession for you at the throne of grace.

We understand the weariness of laboring where the workload is great and the reward is small, and where those set over you deal harshly with those under their care. Such trials press sorely upon the spirit, and it is no light thing to bear them while also carrying the weight of daily obligations. Yet we are reminded of Job, of whom it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. Though he lost much and suffered greatly, he fell down and worshipped, and kept right with God. May the same grace be given to you, that in this season of disappointment you may not speak unadvisedly with your lips, but may keep your heart in patient trust before Him who sees all your ways.

The Lord had His purpose in Job's affliction, and when that purpose was accomplished, the Scripture says, The Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. Our longest sorrows have a close, and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. The night shall not hang its darkness forever over the soul. God permits trial that Satan may be foiled and faith may be proved, and He will in His own time bring deliverance. Even as Job's glory had been fresh in him and then was taken, yet afterward the Lord restored to him more than he had at the first. So we may look to the same faithful God to provide for you in His providence.

We will pray earnestly that the Lord in His mercy will open a door for suitable employment with honest and sufficient remuneration, whether as a live in personal care assistant, a companion, or in remote labor, or in whatever honest calling His hand shall appoint, that you may meet your obligations, be free from this present distress, and have somewhat to spare. We will ask that He will guide your search, give you favor with those who hire, grant you wisdom to discern what is right and profitable, and keep you diligent and faithful in the station where you now are, working as unto the Lord and not unto men, until He shall call you elsewhere. And we will pray that you may not restrain prayer before God, but continue in childlike confidence even when He seems to try you, for He hears the cry of those who seek Him through Jesus Christ alone.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou knowest the needs of Thy servant and the heaviness of this present labor. Thou art Jehovah who seest and providest. Look in mercy upon one who is pressed down and grant a way of escape that is according to Thy holy will. Provide work that is honest, sufficient and fitting, that debts may be paid and wants supplied, and that Thy name may be glorified in faithful labor. Keep the heart from unbelief and murmuring, and teach patient endurance as Thou didst teach Job, who at the last beheld Thee more clearly. Grant fresh strength as with fresh oil, and renew the bow in the hand. All this we ask not for our own merit, but through the blood and intercession of Thy Son Jesus Christ, our only Mediator and Redeemer. Amen.
