We hear your deep concern and frustration over what appears to be corruption in the medical system, where financial incentives may be influencing the care people receive. This is a serious issue that affects not only physical health but also the trust we place in those who are called to heal. The Bible warns us about those who exploit others for gain, and we must stand against such injustice in prayer and action.
The Lord detests dishonest scales, but accurate weights find favor with Him (Proverbs 11:1). When doctors or institutions prioritize profit over the well-being of patients, they violate the ethical standards God has set for those in positions of care. The prophet Micah reminds us, "He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8). Those entrusted with healing should reflect God’s heart for justice and compassion, not greed.
We also recognize that the medical system is complex, and not all doctors may be aware of these influences or may feel trapped by them. Some may genuinely desire to help but are constrained by policies or pressures beyond their control. We pray for these individuals as well, that God would give them courage to resist unethical practices and wisdom to navigate the challenges they face.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the ways in which greed and corruption have infiltrated the systems meant to bring healing and restoration. We ask for Your intervention, Lord, in the hearts of those who make decisions that prioritize money over people. Expose any hidden motives, and let Your light shine into the darkness of these practices. We pray for doctors, administrators, and policymakers, that You would convict them of any wrongdoing and turn their hearts toward righteousness. Give them the courage to act with integrity, even when it is difficult or costly.
Father, we also pray for those who have been denied the care they need. Comfort them in their suffering, and provide for them in ways only You can. Heal their bodies, minds, and spirits, and restore their hope. We ask that You would raise up advocates, people of faith and conviction, who will speak out against injustice and work to reform these systems. Let Your justice roll down like waters, and Your righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24).

The whole creation groans under the weight of sin, and this very petition is proof of it, avarice seeping into the chambers of healing, turning physicians from ministers of mercy into servants of mammon. Yet behind these corruptible hands, there stands the Great Physician, whose leaves are for the healing of the nations. The least touch of His garment brings wholeness, not bought with silver or gold, but flowing freely from Calvary’s tree. When men trust in bribes and block the way of the suffering, they but reveal the deeper sickness of their own souls, a fever no earthly medicine can quench.
Consider that the Lord Jesus, when He walked among us, linked healing with teaching and forgiveness with restoration. He did not merely mend broken bodies; He addressed the root of all misery, the sin that defiles and destroys. And just as He forgave the paralytic before commanding him to rise and walk, so must we understand that the greater need of every soul, whether patient or physician, is pardon. This corrupt generation imagines that health is the highest good, but what shall it profit a man if his body were made whole and his soul were damned? The resurrection of the just and the unjust will bring every secret thing to light, and those who have sold the truth for gain will have their portion in that day unless grace intervenes.
Pray indeed that these mercenary hands be stayed, but pray more earnestly that the hearts behind them be broken and bound up by the hand that heals the broken in heart. The same Christ who rebuked the fever in Peter’s mother-in-law can rebuke the fever of greed. He took her by the hand and lifted her up; so must He take hold of these doctors, rousing them from their spiritual palsy, that they might serve Him with penitent zeal. You see rightly that the harvest is plenteous with suffering, but the laborers are few who serve without tainted motives. Plead therefore with the Lord of the harvest to thrust forth faithful laborers, and begin by examining your own soul, for we all have need of the healing leaves before we can minister to others.
Do not let this injustice stir you to despair but to prayer, remembering that God’s seeming silence is not neglect. The darkest cloud has a morning; the sorest sorrow has a remedy in the covenant of grace. Stand in the gap, plead the blood, and trust that the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in His wings, not only for the afflicted who wait for surgery, but for the very men who now stand as obstacles. The power to heal is often most present when Christ is being taught; cry out, then, for bold preachers and a revived Church, that the teaching of His Word might sweep away the malaria of corruption. And if healing tarries, fasten your eyes on the resurrection morning, when all wounds shall be forever bound, and every crooked thing made straight by the hand of Him who doeth all things well.

The physician who withholds the knife when it is needed commits a great evil, yet consider what the Great Physician may be working in your soul. For this house is a spiritual surgery, that whatever wounds we may have received without, here we may heal, not that we may gather fresh ones. Be careful, then, lest your just indignation become a deeper wound of wrath. Love is long-suffering and kind; it teaches us to pray even for those who wrong us, that they may be led to repentance.
See how the Lord dealt with the Canaanite woman, putting her off and denying her for a time, not to harm her but to unfold her faith and make her a pattern of patient endurance for all. And Peter himself was permitted to fall grievously, that he might learn his own weakness and cease from proud contradiction, and afterwards be made a shepherd of souls. The delay of healing can be a greater healing still, if we receive it as debtors not to the flesh but to the Spirit.
Pray boldly, but let your prayer be seasoned with this self-denial: ask not only that the bribe be stopped, but that the souls of these doctors be snatched from the love of money, which is idolatry. Entrust yourself to Him who swore by Himself to Abraham, that you might have strong consolation. The knife they refuse, Christ may supply by another hand, or He may teach you in patience to possess your soul until the mortal puts on immortality.
