We hear the weight of what you are carrying and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord, for we know how heavy it feels when trials do not come one at a time but all at once, like wave after wave with no time to catch your breath. You described it so well as being like Job when messenger after messenger came with more bad news, and we understand why you feel overwhelmed and why you are asking why this season has become so prolonged and so all encompassing.
The Scriptures show us that prolonged seasons of testing are real and that even the righteous experience them. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all Psalm 34:19. Job himself said in the midst of his loss, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. Yahweh gave, and Yahweh has taken away. Blessed be Yahweh's name Job 1:21. Job did not understand why everything collapsed at once, and God did not immediately explain the why, but He revealed His sovereignty and His nearness through it and in the end Yahweh restored Job's prosperity when he prayed for his friends. Yahweh gave Job twice as much as he had before Job 42:10.
We want to encourage you that God is not absent in this ongoing cycle, even when it feels different from past hard days that eventually lifted. He sees the length of this trial and He has purpose in it. Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing James 1:2-4. And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose Romans 8:28. That does not mean the pain is good, but that God is able to weave even this painful prolonged season into good for your soul, to refine you, to deepen your dependence on Him, and to produce an eternal weight of glory, for our light affliction, which is for the moment, works for us more and more exceedingly an eternal weight of glory 2 Corinthians 4:17.
We also notice your request does not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why that matters so much to us. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we are saved and heard. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, and to call upon His name not only for rescue in this trial but for eternal life. It is through His name we can come boldly to God even with questions and weariness.
We pray together for you now.
Father in heaven, we lift up this dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You see the prolonged breaking, the way everything seems to be caving in at once, the exhaustion of an ongoing cycle with no relief. Lord, we ask You to be near as You have promised, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Grant wisdom to understand what You are teaching, grant endurance to stand, and grant peace that surpasses understanding even while the storm continues. We ask that You would perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle this one after suffering a little while, as You have promised But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you 1 Peter 5:10. Provide tangible help, open doors that have been closed, restore what has been lost, and lift this burden in Your perfect timing. Help this dear one to keep eyes fixed on Jesus, to remain in Your Word daily, to cry out honestly in prayer, and to stay connected to fellow believers who can bear this burden alongside. Let this season not produce bitterness but deeper trust, and let Your name be blessed even here. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our access to You, amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word, to pour out your heart honestly before the Lord as Job and David did, and to not walk this prolonged valley alone. Seek godly fellowship, share your burdens, and remember that God measures this season not as endless but as a little while in light of eternity, and He is faithful to deliver. We are standing with you and asking God to bring the shift from this heavy cycle into a season of restoration and rest in Him.
