Bad appointment.

Beloved of All
My friend didn't get the surgery needed. Doctors are supposed to help you not keep you suffering as long as possible. Need to find another doctor, this one is worthless.

We hear the frustration and pain in this situation, and our hearts go out to your friend who is suffering without the medical intervention they need. It is deeply troubling when those entrusted with healing fail to act with urgency or compassion. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 15:22, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." It may be wise for your friend to seek a second opinion from another doctor who will take their condition seriously and act with the diligence and care that is required.

We also lift up the doctors involved, that God would soften their hearts and grant them wisdom and a renewed sense of responsibility. Scripture reminds us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Let us pray that God would guide your friend to the right medical professionals who will honor their oath to heal and restore.

Father in Heaven, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is in pain and in need of Your healing touch. Lord, we ask that You would open the right doors for them to receive the medical care they need. Provide them with a doctor who will act with wisdom, compassion, and urgency, one who will not delay in bringing relief and healing. We rebuke any spirit of neglect or indifference that may be at work in this situation, and we declare that Your will is for restoration and wholeness. Guide this friend to the right medical team, Lord, and grant them favor as they seek help. We also pray for patience and trust in You, knowing that You are their ultimate Healer. Strengthen their faith and surround them with Your peace as they wait on You. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage your friend to continue seeking godly counsel and to trust in the Lord’s timing, even when it feels difficult. Psalm 30:2 says, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." God is faithful, and He hears the cries of His children. Let us also remember to pray for those in the medical field, that they would be guided by God’s wisdom and compassion in their work. If your friend has not yet placed their trust in Jesus Christ, now is the time to surrender to Him, for He is the Great Physician who heals not only the body but the soul. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

We can feel the frustration in your words, and it makes sense. When someone you care about is suffering and a doctor, the person you trusted to help, seems indifferent or even obstructive, it’s not just disappointing; it stirs up a protective, angry ache. You’re carrying that with your friend right now, and that’s a heavy weight to bear alone.

Right now, the most urgent thing is finding a surgeon who will truly see your friend and act. That’s the concrete step in front of you: a second opinion, a fresh set of eyes on the medical records. Sometimes a patient advocate or a nurse navigator in the hospital system can help cut through delays and point you toward a specialist with a reputation for decisive care. Your presence in this, making calls, sitting with your friend in appointments, asking the direct questions they may be too exhausted to ask, is itself a form of fierce, steady love that counters the helplessness of the moment.

While you pursue that new path, remember that your friend doesn’t need you to fix the broken system or explain why God hasn’t intervened yet. They need you to simply be there, to validate that this is unfair and exhausting, and to remind them quietly that they are not alone in the fight. Sometimes the best thing we can offer is our stubborn refusal to let them lose heart, even when their own courage is running thin.

Lord Jesus, we come to you tired and frustrated on behalf of this friend who needs surgery and healing. We ask you to open a door quickly to a doctor who will treat them with skill, urgency, and compassion. Give them both the strength to keep advocating and the moments of rest they need in the waiting. Shield them from despair and let your presence be a steady anchor. In your name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is a physician who never fails, yet His cures often come through paths we would not choose. You say the doctor is worthless, but consider: was the medicine of obedience taken? Many come to the healer and then refuse the prescription, then wonder they are not whole. The great Physician of souls has healing leaves that never lose their virtue, but He gives them to those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, not merely to those who demand an easier way.

Your friend’s trial is sharp, and I do not dismiss it. Bodily agony wears the spirit thin. Yet all the storehouses of heaven are full of healing balm in Christ. The same Lord who bore the thorn in His head knows every pang of His suffering ones. He was made perfect through suffering, and He uses our sufferings to perfect us. Can you not trust Him who has sanctified the bitter cup by drinking it Himself? His leaves are for the healing of the nations, and He heals by sometimes withholding what the flesh craves, giving instead a deeper draught of His own life.

Do not let resentment against the surgeon fester into sin. Even if he erred, the Lord permitted it. Seek another in prayer, but seek first the remission of all impatience. The great need is not merely a knife in skilled hands, but the application of Christ’s atoning blood to the soul. Pardon and healing are one in Him. When sin is forgiven, the inward sickness begins to die. And He who gives grace for the soul can lighten bodily distempers, or make the sufferer more than conqueror while they last. The Lord is the strength of your life; of whom shall you be afraid? Stay yourself upon Him, and though the earthly physician fail, you will find that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings.

Praying with you for your friend to receive the right medical care, surgery needed, and complete healing with speedy recovery in Jesus'name, Amen

You speak of a worthless doctor because he withholds what you desire. Yet tell me, is it not a far greater sickness to let anger seize the soul? The body’s ailment may be sharp, but a wounded spirit, inflamed by resentment, works a deeper harm. That physician, whether wise or unskilled, is but an instrument. What if this delay is a surgery of another kind, one that cuts away our pride and self-reliance? For we are quick to trust in our own plans, but the Lord often permits hindrances that we might learn to wait upon Him.

Long-suffering is a medicine no physician can prescribe. You may talk of doctors, remedies, money, or friends, but nothing matches a soul that is not easily provoked. As a spark falling into the deep sea is instantly quenched, so an unexpected trouble vanishes when it meets a patient heart. Love does not allow the thorn of wrath to spring up at all. It does not cry out, “This one is worthless,” but bears all things, hopes all things.

Consider the Captain of our salvation, who suffered without the gate, bearing reproach for our healing. He who needed no surgery submitted to wounds that we might be made whole. If we are called to share His sufferings, even in small disappointments, is this not a gift of grace? For it is more wonderful to suffer with Christ than to command miracles. In this, He becomes our debtor.

Do not then let this trial make you worse. Rather, go forth to Him outside the camp, bearing this light reproach. And pray for your friend, and indeed for the physician also. It may be that through this very delay a greater good will come, either in the body or in the soul. But if anger and bitter judgment take root, you multiply the sickness, not only for yourself but for those who witness it. Let us be a spiritual surgery for one another, healing wounds, not inflicting new ones.
