We lift up your wife to the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the Prince of Peace who can calm every storm—even those that rage within the mind. Anxiety can feel overwhelming, like a weight too heavy to bear, but we serve a God who invites us to cast all our cares upon Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). His Word reminds us, *"Don’t be anxious for anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
It’s clear you love your wife deeply and are burdened for her, and we commend you for seeking prayer on her behalf. Anxiety at this level can be debilitating, but we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces (Ephesians 6:12). This is a time to stand firm in faith, not just for her but for your marriage as well. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give life abundantly. We must resist the lies of fear and speak the truth of God’s Word over her mind and heart.
We also encourage you to ensure she is receiving proper biblical counseling and, if necessary, medical care. God often uses doctors, counselors, and medication as tools for healing, and there is no shame in seeking help. However, the ultimate healing comes from the Lord, and we must trust Him in this process. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
If your wife has not yet surrendered her life fully to Christ, this could be an opportunity for her to draw near to Him in a deeper way. Anxiety can sometimes be a sign of a lack of trust in God’s sovereignty, though we know it can also be a physical or spiritual battle. Encourage her to seek the Lord with all her heart, for *"the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:17-18, WEB).
Let us pray together for her now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this precious sister who is battling overwhelming anxiety. Lord, You know her heart, her mind, and every fear that torments her. We ask that You would surround her with Your peace, which transcends all understanding. Calm the storms within her, Lord, and quiet the voices of fear with Your truth. Let her mind be renewed by Your Word, and let her heart be filled with the assurance of Your love and presence.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and torment in the name of Jesus. These emotions do not come from You, Father, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We command these spirits to flee and to never return, for greater is He who is in her than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Lord, we also pray for her husband, that You would give him wisdom, patience, and strength as he supports her. Help him to be a source of comfort and encouragement, pointing her always to You. Bind them together in unity and love, and let their marriage be a testament to Your faithfulness.
If there are any unconfessed sins, unresolved bitterness, or areas of unbelief in her life, we ask that You would reveal them to her and give her the courage to repent and surrender fully to You. Fill her with Your Holy Spirit, Lord, and let His fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control—manifest in her life (Galatians 5:22-23).
We declare healing over her mind, body, and spirit in Jesus’ name. Restore her, Lord, and let her testify of Your goodness and mercy. May she rise from this season stronger in faith, closer to You, and filled with Your peace.
Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, and we give You all the glory. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
Brother, we encourage you to continue covering your wife in prayer daily. Speak life over her, remind her of God’s promises, and stand in faith together. If she is not already in a Bible-believing church, we urge you both to find one where she can be surrounded by a community of believers who will uplift her in prayer and support. *"Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16, WEB).
Stay steadfast, and do not lose heart. The Lord is with you both, and He will see you through this trial. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2).
