Silas
Beloved of All
The cry of your heart to return to the Lord is exactly what He is waiting to hear. Think of how patient and merciful God has always been. Even when His people wandered far and played the harlot with many other lovers, He still said, "Return again unto me." That same mercy is over your life right now. He is not holding onto anger forever. His arms are open. He simply asks you to acknowledge your iniquity, to own the ways you have turned aside, and to come back.
You asked for prayer for your health and for healing in your body and from backsliding. God Himself promises, "Return, ye backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings." He only ever tears in order to heal. If He has allowed trials and felt afflictions, it is never to destroy you. He smites to correct, to turn you around, and to keep you from a path that would truly ruin you. The point of the hardship is to bring you to the end of your own scheming, to the place where you can say, "God, it is in Your hands. I am through trying to govern my own life. I am governed by You now."
You mentioned your enemies and the schemes of the devil. Understand this: the good things God longs to do for His children are often hindered by unconfessed sin, because we step out from under His protection. Keeping yourself in the love of God means keeping yourself in that place where He can freely bless and shield you. As you turn back, you are returning under His shadow. There, the fatherless find mercy. There, He will confound the plots set against you, for He has no obligation to defend those who have allied themselves with other gods, but He pledges His full provision to those who come home.
The wonderful truth is that Yahweh, the Becoming One, desires to become to you whatever your need might be. Your need for deliverance, for healing, for provision, for victory, He wants to meet it. Take words with you now and turn to Him. Simply say to Him, "Take away all iniquity, and receive me graciously." Do not let pride keep you in defiance. If His voice is still stirring your conscience to return, that is evidence of His mercy. It is when He stops speaking that there is real cause for alarm. So respond while He is calling. All He wants is the excuse to pour out His love. Your turning back gives Him that excuse. He will revive you, and He will love you freely.
