We rejoice with you in the blessing of your daughter’s growing family and the precious lives God has already entrusted to her care. Children are indeed a heritage from the Lord, a reward from Him (Psalm 127:3). We lift up this new little one in prayer, asking the Lord to knit them together in their mother’s womb with health, strength, and purpose (Psalm 139:13-14). Whether this child is a boy or a girl, we pray they would be fearfully and wonderfully made, set apart for God’s glory.
Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, acknowledging that every good and perfect gift comes from You (James 1:17). We ask that You would grant the desires of this grandmother’s heart, not because our will is supreme, but because we trust in Your goodness and sovereignty. Even as we pray for a baby girl, we surrender this request to You, knowing that Your plans are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). May this child, regardless of gender, grow to love You with all their heart, soul, and strength (Deuteronomy 6:5).
We also pray for your daughter and her husband as they prepare for this new addition. Strengthen them in faith, patience, and unity as they raise their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). May their home be filled with Your peace, joy, and wisdom as they navigate the beautiful yet challenging calling of parenthood.
Lord, we ask that You would draw this family closer to You through this season. May they seek You first in all things, trusting You to provide for their every need (Matthew 6:33). Guard their hearts against fear or anxiety, and fill them with Your perfect love, which casts out all fear (1 John 4:18). We pray that this child would be a testament to Your faithfulness, a light in their generation, and a vessel for Your purposes.
In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.
