Attack pain and sweat for no reason

We hear your distress, and we stand with you in seeking God’s wisdom and healing in this confusing and uncomfortable situation. The Bible tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and when we experience unexplained physical struggles, it is right to bring them before the Lord with honesty and faith. We do not always understand why suffering comes, but we know that God is sovereign and works all things for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

First, we must examine whether there is any unconfessed sin or spiritual oppression that may be contributing to this attack. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), and sometimes physical afflictions can be tied to spiritual warfare. Have you considered whether there is any area of your life where you have opened a door to fear, anxiety, or sin? If so, we encourage you to repent and renounce any agreement with the enemy. The blood of Jesus has given us authority to resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7).

We also recognize that physical ailments can stem from medical conditions, stress, or even dietary imbalances. Have you sought godly medical counsel? Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." We encourage you to seek wisdom from trusted healthcare professionals while also bringing this matter before the Great Physician.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, acknowledging that You are the Creator of our bodies and the Healer of all our diseases. Lord, we lift up this dear one who is experiencing unexplained attacks of pain and sweating. We ask You to reveal the root of this affliction, whether it is physical, spiritual, or emotional. If there is any sin or oppression at work, expose it, Lord, and break its power over them. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Father, we ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind (Philippians 4:7). Give them wisdom to seek the right help and discernment to walk in Your ways. If this is a trial meant to refine their faith, strengthen them to endure with patience and trust in Your goodness. We rebuke every spirit of infirmity, fear, and torment in Jesus’ name, and we command this affliction to leave their body. May Your healing power flow through them like a river, restoring every cell and system to wholeness.

Lord, we thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Even in this mystery, we trust You. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, reminding them that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that nothing can separate them from Your love (Romans 8:38-39). We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to stand on God’s promises and not lose heart. Keep your focus on Jesus, who endured suffering for our sake and understands our weaknesses (Hebrews 4:15). Surround yourself with believers who can pray with you and speak life over your situation. If this persists, do not hesitate to seek further medical or pastoral counsel. You are not alone, we are with you in this battle, and above all, God is fighting for you.

It makes sense to feel confused and even frightened when your body does something you did not choose and cannot explain. We are sorry you are carrying this. Pain and sweating that come on without a clear trigger deserve a careful medical workup, so we would encourage you to see a doctor soon. A physician can help sort out what is going on and rule out underlying causes. Before you go, it may help to jot down when the episodes happen, how long they last, and what you notice just before they start. Those notes can give your doctor a clearer picture.

We can also stand with you in prayer while you wait for answers. Lord Jesus, you know this person's body completely, and you see the confusion and worry behind these symptoms. We ask you to guide the right care, give wisdom to any medical professional involved, and bring relief from pain and unusual sweating. Steady this person's mind, guard against discouragement, and provide a clear path toward understanding and healing. In your name, amen.

I have laid your request before the Lord, and I would have you do the same. Pain that falls upon the body without a clear cause, with sweat upon the head and a sense of being attacked, is a heavy and confusing trial. But do not wait to understand before you trust. If you say, "I cannot trust unless I can explain this," you make a god of your own judgment. Our Lord is not only the Savior of souls but the Physician of bodies. He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Call upon Him. Also use the ordinary means; seek a physician, for the Lord often heals through those who study the body.

I will not offer you a smooth reason for every ache. Sometimes the body speaks a language we cannot read. Sometimes the Lord permits affliction to make us lift our eyes from this world. If there is any assault of the evil one, remember that Christ has already bruised the serpent's head, and the enemy cannot have you while you shelter under His wings.

But the main point is this: bring the thing to Jesus. Tell Him, "I do not understand, but I trust You." Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim. There is healing in the least thing about Christ. The leaves of that tree are for the healing of the nations, and even of the hem of His garment virtue went out to a suffering woman. Ask also for pardon, for with Him pardon and healing go together. Cry, "Jesus, Master, save me, heal me with a word."

I will pray that this attack, whether of body or spirit, may cease, and that your head may be cooled and your strength restored. But if relief is delayed, do not let the pain drive you from God; let it drive you to Him. Rest your whole case in His healing hands.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your pain and sudden sweating without an clear cause must be very distressing and confusing, and I thank you for sharing this burden so we can bring it before the Lord in prayer.

We will pray for you, asking God to grant you relief, peace, and wisdom to understand what is happening in your body. God cares for your whole person, both body and soul, and He invites you to cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you. When our bodies suffer in ways we do not understand, it is right to seek help and to bring our fear and questions to Christ, who is our compassionate high priest and who knows our infirmities.

Because these symptoms can have many natural causes, please do not wait to seek medical care. It is wise and good to use the help God has provided through physicians. Keep a simple record of when the pain and sweating occur, what you were doing, and any other symptoms, and share that with a doctor promptly. If the pain is severe, sudden, or worsening, seek care urgently.

At the same time, Scripture reminds us not to neglect the soul while we care for the body. Bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness holds promise for both this life and the life to come. When we are troubled physically, it is also a good time to draw near to God, to rest in His presence, to confess any sin that weighs on the conscience, and to ask for His mercy and strength. This does not mean every sickness is caused by a particular sin, but it does mean that God uses even our bodily trials to draw us closer to Himself and to teach us to trust Him more fully.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we lift up this dear one to You. You see this pain and this sweating that seems to come without reason, and You know the fear and confusion it brings. Have mercy and grant healing according to Your will. Give wisdom to doctors and clarity about the cause, give peace that passes understanding, and give strength to endure. Forgive our sins, heal our souls, and help us to seek You first, trusting that You are our refuge and our healer. Sustain this heart with Your presence and lead to full restoration. Amen.

Please continue to let us know how you are doing, and continue to seek both medical help and the comfort of God's Word each day.
