At the foot of YOUR cross

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I lay this heavy heavy burden at the foot of YOUR cross, under the flow of your precious blood. For two decades, I did my best to cooperate with management and colleagues in order to achieve the goal/mission of our department/organization and to be a good representative to our clients. In return, I was singled out and subjected to (both in public and private) disdain, sabotage, humiliation, isolation, degradation, intimidation, false accusations, slander, gaslighting, inappropriate physical contact and verbal abuse by both middle management and some coworkers. The egregious behavior intensified when I had to care for a close relative who was very ill and after THAT relative passed away. I spoke with the perpetrators about how their behavior negatively impacted my ability to complete my assignments. They DID NOT care and continued their antics. Other coworkers were bystanders who turned a blind eye but then would ask me what was wrong and also murmur about management. I felt powerless and helpless. I wanted to do my work in peace, so I reached out to upper management (I later discovered that they were also in on the conspiracy to cause my downfall). I tried so hard to change the environment, I could not FOCUS on lining up another job opportunity in the midst of THAT horrible circumstance. Leaving was not an easy decision as I was relinquishing a steady paycheck, but staying wasn't best for me either. I resigned abruptly and now I am in deep financial debt. I'm not sure which is worse- staying in abuse or being out of it and almost destitute. It's been two years since and I still haven't recovered. I am proactively looking for work, networking, applying for assistance and all of the things that I CAN DO to help myself. It is exhausting. I have been approved for some assistance, but I want my health back and I ask in Jesus name that the Lord restore me. The memories of that time are still with me, and I ask the LORD to help me with any lingering bitterness, resentment and ask for a forgiving spirit in Jesus' name. Prayers for all who are unemployed no matter how it happened.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer and standing with you in this season of deep struggle. The weight of what you endured—years of workplace abuse, betrayal, and injustice—is not something the Lord takes lightly. Scripture tells us, *"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit"* (Psalm 34:18). He sees every tear, every sleepless night, and every moment of exhaustion. You did not deserve the cruelty you faced, and we rebuke the spirit of oppression that sought to destroy your peace, your livelihood, and your sense of worth.

The enemy would love for you to remain bound by bitterness, fear, and financial despair, but we declare that this is not your portion. Jesus came to *"proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed"* (Luke 4:18). We pray that the Lord would break every chain of trauma and anxiety that lingers from that toxic environment. Father, we ask that You would heal the wounds of your heart—both the visible and the hidden ones. Replace the memories of humiliation with the truth of Your love. Where you were isolated, let the Holy Spirit surround you with godly community. Where you were degraded, let the Lord remind you of your identity in Christ: *"You are fearfully and wonderfully made"* (Psalm 139:14).

We also lift up the struggle of unemployment and financial strain. The Lord knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8), and we trust Him to open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). But we must also speak truth: the enemy wants you to believe that your worth is tied to your job or your bank account, but God says, *"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want"* (Psalm 23:1). Even in this season of lack, He is your provider. We pray for supernatural provision—unexpected opportunities, favor with employers, and wisdom to steward what you have. Let not discouragement take root, for *"those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing"* (Psalm 34:10).

And to the matter of forgiveness—this is not something we ask lightly, for we know the depth of pain you carry. But we are commanded to *"forgive, just as Christ forgave you"* (Colossians 3:13). This does not mean what was done to you was acceptable; it means you refuse to let their sin define your future. We pray that the Lord would soften your heart toward those who wronged you, not for their sake, but for yours. Unforgiveness is a prison, and we declare your freedom in Jesus’ name. May the Lord give you the strength to release them into His hands, trusting that vengeance belongs to Him (Romans 12:19).

Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the power in the name of Jesus. You mentioned laying your burden at the foot of the cross, and that is exactly where it belongs. But we must also declare that *"there is no other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life fully to Christ, for He is the only One who can truly restore what has been broken. He is not just a helper in times of trouble—He is the Author of your salvation, the Redeemer of your past, and the Hope for your future.

So we pray now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother/sister, lifting up every area of pain, fear, and need. Lord, You see the injustice they endured, and we ask that You would bring justice in Your perfect timing. Heal their heart from the trauma of betrayal and abuse. Replace bitterness with Your peace, resentment with forgiveness, and fear with trust in You. Provide for their every need—financially, emotionally, and spiritually. Open doors of opportunity that align with Your will, and give them favor with those who can help. Restore their health, their joy, and their hope. Remind them daily that they are not defined by their circumstances but by who they are in Christ. We rebuke the spirit of poverty, oppression, and despair, and we declare breakthrough over their life. May they experience Your presence in tangible ways, knowing that You are their Shepherd, their Provider, and their Defender. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Keep pressing forward, dear one. The Lord has not forgotten you, and your story is not over. *"Those who sow in tears will reap in joy"* (Psalm 126:5). Your breakthrough is coming.

We're right here with you, dear friend, carrying your burden alongside you. We've been reflecting on your journey and want to share some more words of encouragement and prayer.

Firstly, we're so sorry for the injustice you've faced. It's not fair, and it's not right. But we know a God who sees, who cares, and who will make all things right in His perfect timing. We declare healing over your heart, mind, and soul. We pray that the Lord would bind up your wounds, both visible and invisible, and replace the pain with His unfailing love.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking work, keep networking, and keep applying. We know it's exhausting, but we believe that God sees your effort and will reward it. We claim supernatural provision over your life. We declare that God will open doors that no man can shut, and that He will provide for your every need according to His riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).

Lastly, we want to remind you of your worth. You are a child of the Most High, fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Your worth is not determined by your job title or your bank account. It's determined by the fact that you are deeply loved and cherished by your Heavenly Father.

So, we pray today that the Lord would heal, restore, and provide. We pray that He would give you strength, courage, and resilience. We pray that He would remind you of your worth and His love for you. And we pray that you would experience His tangible presence in your life, guiding and comforting you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
