Asking the Lord's help

We join you in bringing all of these burdens before the Lord and thank you for sharing them so openly. We hear your desire for protection, for breakthrough, for wisdom and for the Lord's anointing on your life, your work, your church and every outreach and service that is planned.

We pray with you for the encouragement you have asked for, and for help and wisdom from God and not from this world. The wisdom of this world ends here and cannot save, but the wisdom of God is hidden and gracious and gives life. We ask the Lord to give you that wisdom in your work, in your meetings, in your place at church, in your sermons and in every conflict you face, including those that feel forgotten or tangled. May He teach us to cut out the root of strife, to despise what is merely earthly and to seek the treasure that is above, so that even when money is lost or honor is challenged we are not truly injured, because our treasure remains with Christ.

We bring before God your many intercessions that have been deleted and all that you carry now. We ask Him to remember persecuted Christians and to strengthen them to stand as those who endured the furnace for His sake, knowing they suffer for God. We ask for the salvation of those who are still unsaved, for there is salvation through Jesus Christ alone. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for all who suffer in war zones, in calamities and for abused children, that the Lord would have mercy, protect the vulnerable and bring justice and healing.

For the conflicts and relationships you mention, we pray that the Lord would bring conviction where there is sin, healing where there is wounding and reconciliation where it is according to His truth. Where relationships are dysfunctional or outside His design, we do not ask God to bless what is against His will, but we ask Him to convict, to heal souls, to stop what is harmful and to lead each person toward salvation, repentance and wholeness. We pray that every relationship would be brought into alignment with His good design, which is marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with sexual intimacy and living together belonging within that covenant, and that He would be a Father to those who feel fatherless and bring healing to deep soul wounds. We ask for His mighty hand on those you love who need healing in body and spirit, for those struggling in school and with exams, for ### and for the children and families you named, that He would rear them, encourage them and guard them.

We pray for your weakness and for your work and your team, that the Lord would take over completely, lead, guide and protect you, and help you to do your work in a manner pleasing to Him. We pray for the issues in the church, for every meeting and for the struggles with those you named, that God would mediate, grant favor, authority, love and inspiration, and turn even what was spoken unwisely into a blessing as you have asked for forgiveness. We pray for quick healing where you have asked for it and for strength to get back into what God has called you to do.

We ask for a strong anointing on your church and on your prayer gatherings, especially the evening of prayer and praise this Friday and in the days to come. May the Lord convict His people, raise up more prayer warriors, fill the place with His presence and save many through the recent and upcoming outreaches. We thank Him with you for the help He gave with the first sermon and ask Him to anoint and guide the next one as well, and to empower all who preach and serve.

May the Lord encourage you greatly, defeat the works of the enemy and fill the earth with His glory. We pray that as you wait for His answers you would find consolation in His exhortation, that you would not be wearied, and that when trials are prolonged you would know He allows them to be near their end so that you may gain more through endurance. May you say with Job, hearing His voice, that you trust Him and are sustained by Him.

We commit all these things to our gracious God, asking that He would do exceedingly and abundantly above all we ask, according to His will and for His glory. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and you are not carrying these burdens alone. Thank you for pouring out your heart so honestly for protection, for breakthrough, for wisdom at work, for healing, for conflicts to be resolved, and for so many others who are suffering.

I want to encourage you first about healing, because you mentioned many needs for healing. I believe with all my heart that God still heals today, and that every true healing is from Him. Sometimes He heals instantly with a word or a touch, sometimes He heals gradually through a process over time, and sometimes He works through the natural processes He Himself placed in our bodies. That natural process is still divine, because He is the one who created it. There is even that one account in the Gospels where Jesus healed a blind man gradually, which reminds us He is not confined to one pattern. He also brings healing that is not only physical but deep in the mind and emotions, healing scars and wounds inside that others cannot see.

At the same time there is much about healing we do not understand. Scripture shows us we cannot presume God wills physical healing in every case in this life. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed and God answered differently. Matthew does apply Isaiah's prophecy, surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sicknesses, to the physical healings of Jesus, and we see Jesus going through cities and villages teaching, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every kind of sickness. That gives us confidence to keep asking. It does not give us grounds to tell someone who is not healed that there must be sin in their life or not enough faith. That is not biblical and it wounds people. So we keep praying with faith, trusting His power and His wisdom, whether the answer comes in a moment or through a slower work, whether in the body or in the soul.

You also carry many conflicts, in family, at work, and in the church. We live in a world filled with conflict, and the news every day reminds us of it, including conflict around Israel and in war torn places you mentioned. In the midst of that, the gospel is good news of peace. Through Jesus, a person at war with God can have peace with God, and then begin to know peace within. When conflict presses in, it helps to recognize that our deepest battle is spiritual. Our weapons are not merely human arguments or efforts. They are mighty through God to pull down strongholds, and the enemy does seek to get a foothold in families and churches. The way to stand is not in our own strength, but in the name and protection of Jesus, keeping Him between us and the attack, resisting in His power and not in the flesh.

For the relationships you mentioned, including those that are painful and dysfunctional, we will pray as you asked for God to convict where there is sin, to bring healing to soul wounds, to stop what is harmful, and to draw each person to salvation through Jesus Christ alone. God's design for sexual intimacy and living together belongs within the lifelong covenant of marriage between one man and one woman, so we do not ask Him to bless what is outside that design. Instead we ask Him to bring conviction, repentance, purity, and true healing, and where He wills reconciliation, to make it a true reconciliation that honors Him. For the young person you mentioned struggling with school and exams and needing a father's care, we ask the Lord to be near as Father, to bring encouragement, healing and strength.

For your outreaches, services, and prayer gatherings, we pray that the Lord will anoint them with His presence, that the preaching of the gospel would be clear, and that many would come to salvation. We pray He would raise up faithful people who love to pray, and that He would guard the gatherings from anything false or sensational. God is not served by frenzy or showmanship, and we do not seek a circus atmosphere, but a genuine work of His Spirit with humility and truth.

You also confessed speaking about someone to others and asked for forgiveness. In Christ there is forgiveness, and He calls us to reconciliation. Where harm was done, ask Him to turn it into a blessing and to guide your words going forward.

We are joining you in prayer for all you listed and for those prayers that have felt forgotten or deleted, for persecuted Christians, for the unsaved to be saved, for peace, for those in war zones and calamities, for abused children, and for every need you brought before the Lord. We ask for wisdom and strength for your work, for your place in the church, for meetings and decisions, and for help in your weakness. May the Lord speak to you, lead and guide and protect you, and fill you with encouragement. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or think, and we trust Him to do what is best in His perfect will.

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and we are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer.

We have continued to lift up your requests for extra strong protection and breakthrough for you and all in need, for encouragement and help and for wisdom, and for the Lords strong anointing on all the planned outreaches and services including the sermons and the evening of prayer and praise. We have prayed for the Lord to resolve conflicts including those that have been forgotten, to bring conviction where it is needed and to confront what is not of Him, and to bring true healing and reconciliation.

We have also brought before the Lord the prayers from the request that keeps getting deleted, and we join you in praying for persecuted Christians, for the salvation of the unsaved, for the peace of Israel, for those suffering in war zones and from calamities, and for abused children and many others who are suffering. We have prayed for healing for those who are ill and for those with soul wounds, for the individuals and relationships you mentioned by name that need urgent intervention, for dysfunctional relationships to be stopped and for God to bring healing and salvation and to be a Father to those in need. We have prayed for miracles concerning school and exams, for help with work and with the team and meetings, for help with the issues at church and for your place in the church, and for encouragement strength authority love inspiration and favor as you get back into the work He has for you.

We pray in Jesus Name for the Lord to continue to protect and guide you, to anoint your church and raise up more prayer warriors, to defeat the works of the enemy, to bring overall encouragement and to let His presence be powerfully felt. We ask Him to answer according to His perfect will and to fill the earth with His glory as you seek Him. We remember the promise in Psalm 91:1 and in Jeremiah 33:3 that He hears and answers when we call on Him.
