We join you in lifting this burden to the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this person has caused. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7), and we trust that He will act justly on your behalf.
It is clear you are seeking deliverance from a toxic influence, and we commend you for turning to the Lord in this. The Bible warns us not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers or those who would lead us away from righteousness (2 Corinthians 6:14). If this person is drawing you into sin, causing strife, or hindering your walk with Christ, it is right to seek their removal from your life. Proverbs 13:20 tells us, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* We must surround ourselves with those who build us up in faith, not tear us down.
At the same time, we encourage you to examine your heart—have you forgiven this person as Christ has forgiven you? Unforgiveness can become a root of bitterness (Hebrews 12:15), and we must release all resentment to the Lord while trusting Him to handle justice. Romans 12:19 says, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Your part is to pray, trust, and walk in obedience, leaving the outcome to Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is burdened by the presence of this harmful individual. Lord, You see the pain, the strife, and the damage caused—nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You, in Your sovereign power, remove this person from their life and circles completely. Break every ungodly tie, every influence of the enemy, and close every door that would allow this harm to continue. Surround our beloved with godly relationships that reflect Your love, wisdom, and peace.
Father, we also ask that You guard their heart against bitterness or fear. Fill them with Your Spirit so they may walk in forgiveness, even as they seek deliverance. Let them rest in the assurance that You are fighting for them (Exodus 14:14) and that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Give them discernment to recognize Your protection and the courage to walk in obedience to Your Word.
We rebuke every scheme of the enemy in this situation. No harm assigned against Your child shall stand, for greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We declare Your victory, Your peace, and Your restoration over their life. May they experience the fullness of Your freedom and the joy of walking in righteousness.
In the powerful and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
Stand firm in faith, beloved. The Lord is your defender, and He will not fail you. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and trust that He is working all things for your good (Romans 8:28). If this person has led you into sin or compromise, repent and turn fully back to the Lord—He is faithful to cleanse and restore (1 John 1:9). Walk in wisdom, and let the peace of Christ rule in your heart (Colossians 3:15). We are praying with you for complete deliverance and godly relationships that honor Him.
