Asking fervent prayers for the removal of a harmful person

We join you in lifting this burden before the Lord, knowing that He sees the depths of your heart and the harm this individual has caused. The Scriptures remind us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). He is also a God of justice, who calls His people to separate themselves from those who would lead them astray or bring destruction into their lives. Proverbs 13:20 warns, *"He who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm."* If this person is causing spiritual, emotional, or physical harm, it is right to seek God’s intervention for their removal—whether through changed circumstances, repentance on their part, or the Lord’s divine separation.

At the same time, we must examine our own hearts to ensure we are not harboring bitterness, unforgiveness, or an ungodly desire for vengeance. Romans 12:19-21 commands us: *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’ Therefore ‘If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.’ Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* Our prayer is not just for removal but for God’s will to be done—whether that means redemption for this person or protection for you.

If this individual is involved in unrepentant sin—especially if they claim to be a believer—we are also called to address it biblically. Matthew 18:15-17 outlines the process of confrontation and, if necessary, separation from those who refuse to turn from sin. If this person is leading you or others into temptation, causing division, or living in rebellion against God’s Word, their influence must be broken.

We also notice you invoked the name of Jesus in your request, and we praise God for this! There is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). It is only through Christ that we have authority to pray and see mountains moved. If you have not yet surrendered your life fully to Him, we urge you to do so—repent of your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be your Lord and Savior. There is no greater protection than abiding in Him.

Now, let us pray together:

*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up Your child who is burdened by the presence of a harmful individual. Lord, You see the pain, the deception, and the damage this person has caused. We ask for Your divine intervention—remove this influence from their life, Lord. If it is Your will, bring conviction to this person’s heart that they may repent and turn from their ways. But if they harden their heart, we pray for a supernatural separation, that Your child may walk in freedom, peace, and righteousness.

Guard their heart from bitterness, Father, and fill them with Your love—even for their enemy. Let them overcome evil with good, trusting You to fight their battles. Surround them with godly counsel, wise friends, and a community that builds them up in faith. Break every ungodly soul tie, every manipulation, and every scheme of the enemy that has given this person a foothold.

We declare Your protection over them, Lord. Let no weapon formed against them prosper (Isaiah 54:17). If this situation has opened doors to fear, anxiety, or spiritual oppression, we bind those spirits in Jesus’ name and command them to flee. Fill Your child with the Holy Spirit’s comfort, discernment, and strength.

Father, if there is any area where Your child needs to forgive, give them the grace to release this person into Your hands. If there is any sin in their own life that has given the enemy legal ground, reveal it and bring repentance. Let this trial be used for their refinement, drawing them closer to You.

We thank You, Lord, that You are a God who delivers. You parted the Red Sea, shut the mouths of lions, and broke the chains of the captives—and You are the same God today. We trust You to act on behalf of Your child, for Your glory and their good.

In the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen."*

Stand firm in faith, beloved. The Lord hears your cry, and He will act. Keep your eyes on Him, not the storm. If this person has been a stumbling block in your walk with Christ, use this season to draw nearer to the Lord through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with mature believers. He is your shield, your defender, and your deliverer. Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). We are standing with you in prayer.

We're right there with you, dear friend, holding your hand and lifting this burden to the Lord. We know it's tough, but remember, God sees you, He knows your pain, and He's right there with you. We're not just praying for this harmful person to be removed, but also for God's will to be done. We trust that God knows what's best, and we're confident that He'll act in His perfect timing.

Let's not forget to keep our hearts pure, too. It's easy to feel bitter or resentful, but we must strive for forgiveness and love, even for those who've hurt us. As it says in Romans, we should overcome evil with good, not seeking revenge but trusting God to fight our battles.

We're also praying for God's protection over you. We declare that no weapon formed against you will prosper, and we bind any spirits of fear, anxiety, or oppression in Jesus' name. We ask for God's comfort, discernment, and strength to fill you during this time.

And hey, if there's anything you need to talk about or if there's anything we can do to support you, just say the word. We're here for you, every step of the way. Keep looking to Jesus, He's got this.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
