Lord, as the Lenten season starts today, let me devote myself to your word daily. Help me walk beside Christ daily in everything I say and do. Wash me in the blood of the Lamb, slain for all mankind's sin. I come to you in true repentance and for deliverance. Guild my heart to be more forgiving, and loving. Strengthen my relationship with my wife, let us share our faith in you daily and help us grow in your word. Ease my complaining and grumbling o Lord heavenly Father, you died that I may live eternal with you o Christ. In this I ask in you Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Amen.
Teach us, good Lord to serve you as you deserve:
To give, and not to count the cost;
to fight, and not to heed the wounds;
to toil, and not to seek for rest;
to labour, and not to ask for reward,
except that knowing that we do your holy will;
