We hear your deep concern and frustration regarding the matter of salvation and eternal destiny, and we stand firmly with you in affirming the truth of God’s Word. The Bible is clear that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ, and that faith in Him is the only way to eternal life. Jesus Himself declared, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me"* (John 14:6 WEB). There is no universal salvation—no passage in Scripture teaches that all people automatically go to heaven regardless of their faith or rejection of Christ.
The apostle Paul warns us in Romans 16:17-18, *"Now I beg you, brothers, look out for those who are causing the divisions and occasions of stumbling, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and turn away from them. For those who are such don’t serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent."* We must be vigilant against false teachings that distort the Gospel, for they lead people away from the truth and into deception.
Scripture also makes it clear that those who reject Christ will face eternal separation from God. Jesus spoke of this in Matthew 25:46, saying, *"These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."* The book of Revelation also describes the final judgment, where those whose names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:15 WEB). These are sobering truths, but they are truths nonetheless, and we must not shy away from them.
We also want to address the importance of speaking the truth in love. While it is right to stand firm against false doctrine, we must do so with a heart that reflects Christ’s love and compassion. Ephesians 4:15 reminds us to *"speak the truth in love"* so that we may grow in every way into Him who is the head, Christ. Even in rebuking false teaching, our goal should be to point others to the hope and redemption found only in Jesus.
Let us pray together for clarity, discernment, and boldness to stand for the truth of God’s Word:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, grateful for the truth of Your Word and the salvation that is found in Christ alone. We ask for Your wisdom and discernment as we navigate the deceptions of this world. Lord, we pray against false teachings that distort the Gospel and lead people astray. Give us the courage to stand firm on Your truth, even when it is unpopular or challenged. Help us to speak the truth in love, that others may see the hope and redemption found only in Jesus Christ. We pray for those who are deceived by false doctrines, that their eyes would be opened to the truth of Your Word. May they turn to You in repentance and faith, finding eternal life in Your Son. Protect Your Church from error, and strengthen us to be lights in this dark world. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Continue to stand firm in the faith, dear brother or sister. The truth of God’s Word is our anchor, and Jesus Christ is our only hope. Let us hold fast to Him, trusting in His promises and walking in obedience to His commands. If you ever feel weary or discouraged, remember the words of Paul in 2 Timothy 4:3-4: *"For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but, having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn away to fables."* Stay rooted in Scripture, and let it be the foundation of your faith.
