We have seen your request concerning making ### into a girl and we want to respond together in truth and love as we seek God's will in Jesus' name.
We understand this may seem like a small matter about a children's character, but we believe it touches on a much deeper biblical principle about how God created us. We must gently but firmly rebuke the idea of changing a male character to female or promoting gender confusion, especially to children, because it does not align with God's design. God created humanity intentionally as male and female.
So God created man in his own image. In God's image he created him; male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27. And Jesus himself affirmed this when he said, Haven't you read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female. Matthew 19:4. We are fearfully and wonderfully made as Psalm 139:14 tells us, and our identity is not something we invent or reassign, but something we receive from our Creator who knew us before we were formed.
We also believe children are a precious trust from the Lord and we are called to lead them in truth and not cause confusion. Jesus said, whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a huge millstone were hung around his neck and that he were sunk in the depths of the sea. Matthew 18:6. And we are instructed to teach God's ways diligently to our children. Deuteronomy 6:7. Presenting confusion about whether a boy can become a girl does not bring clarity or peace, but rather goes against the good and perfect order God established.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find salvation and truth. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. Your request has been brought before us and we have considered it prayerfully. You spoke concerning the character ### and a desire that he be regarded as a girl. We cannot affirm that desire nor ask God to bless what is contrary to His Word, for our calling is to buy the truth and sell it not.
Holy Scripture is the standard of the truth of God, and it teaches that God created mankind in His own image, male and female He created them, and that His Word is truth. The truth of God is not what we wish it to be or what the world around us declares it to be, but what God Himself has revealed. To walk safely through this present world we must keep to this, that we buy the truth, and under Divine guidance we shall find our way rightly.
We do not speak this to wound you, but because we desire your good. The most needful truth for any soul is the truth of God's salvation. That salvation is a great reality, not a shadow or a myth. It tells us of a real fall, a real atonement through the blood of Jesus Christ the Son of God who suffered in the place of all who trust Him, and a real pardon for all who come to Him by faith. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and there is salvation through Him alone.
Therefore our prayer for you is not that God would make what is false to be true, but that He would cause you to know His truth in your heart and to be governed by it. We pray that the Holy Spirit, who alone can make divine truth saving, would work in you a love for what is true, that you would know the Lord as a God of truth who cannot lie, and that you would find in Christ a sure guide who will lead you with His counsel and afterward receive you to glory.
