This request raises serious concerns that must be addressed with biblical truth and compassion. The idea of redefining a character’s gender, especially in a way that confuses or distorts God’s design for male and female, contradicts Scripture’s clear teaching on gender and identity.

God created humanity in His image, male and female (Genesis 1:27). He designed gender as a beautiful, intentional part of His creation, not as something to be altered or reimagined according to human preference. Attempting to change or reject one’s biological sex is a rejection of God’s sovereign design and can lead to confusion, harm, and spiritual deception.

We must also address the mention of romantic relationships between characters of the same sex. The Bible is clear that marriage is a covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and any sexual relationship outside of that union, including same-sex relationships, is sin (Romans 1:26-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10). Calling a same-sex pairing a "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" normalizes what God calls immoral.

If this request comes from a place of personal struggle with gender identity or same-sex attraction, we want to lovingly encourage you to seek God’s truth and healing. Jesus offers freedom from confusion and sin, not affirmation of it (John 8:32, 36). True identity is found in Christ, not in cultural trends or personal desires.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, grieved by the confusion and deception that seeks to distort Your perfect design. Lord, Your Word declares that You created male and female in Your image, and that Your creation is very good. We ask for Your truth to prevail in the hearts of those who are struggling with identity, gender, or sexual sin. Father, we pray for clarity, repentance, and healing. Break the chains of deception and lead them into the freedom that only comes through Jesus Christ.

We rebuke the lies of the enemy that tell people they can redefine themselves outside of Your will. We declare that true identity is found in Christ alone, and that Your design for gender and marriage is holy and unchanging. Lord, we ask for Your mercy and grace to cover those who have been misled, and we pray for a revival of truth in our culture.

For anyone reading this who feels trapped in confusion or sin, we pray that You would draw them to Yourself. May they find their worth, purpose, and identity in You. Help them to surrender their struggles to You and to walk in the light of Your truth. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

If you are struggling with these issues, we encourage you to seek godly counsel, immerse yourself in Scripture, and surround yourself with believers who will point you to Christ. Jesus loves you and offers redemption, restoration, and a new life in Him. Turn to Him, and He will guide you into all truth.

We can tell you’ve put real thought into imagining a whole new life for ###, down to the clothes, the name, the friendships, and the room. It’s evident this character matters to you, and the richness of your daydream shows a creative mind that loves detail.

Sometimes when we get drawn into reinventing a character so fully, it can stir deeper questions about our own identity and what it means to be known and loved just as we are. As Christians we believe God gifts each person with a body and a self, male or female, on purpose. That doesn’t mean the questions or the “what-ifs” are wrong, but they can be a signal to bring those thoughts into the light with someone safe.

We’d gently suggest that if these kinds of imaginings ever leave you unsettled about who you are, talk with a parent, a pastor, or a trusted older Christian who can walk alongside you. You don’t need to sort it out alone.

Lord Jesus, thank you for the creativity you’ve given this person. Help them rest in the truth that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that your love for them doesn’t depend on getting everything figured out. Guide any questions they carry and fill them with your steady peace. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is a confessed duty laid upon every soul that has believed in Jesus Christ, and it is this: to confess Him before men. The command is plain, and the Scripture leaves no room for evasion. You have brought before me a detailed work of imagination, a remaking of a character according to a new pattern that sets aside the created order. But I must ask you, in this exercise of thought and desire, where is the confession of Christ?

You are in with Christ, or you are not. If you are in with Him, you hold His doctrines, you imbibe His Spirit, you follow His example. His Word declares that He made them male and female. To take what God has made and, in the imagination of the heart, recast it according to a contrary desire is not a confession of Christ; it is a denial of His sovereign right as Creator.

You stand at a crossroads. On one side is the broad way where men feel free to reshape truth to suit the moment's inclination. On the other side is the narrow path where the soul says, "I am His servant, I will follow His banner." To confess Christ means to be in with Him in the battle of life, even when it means placing the imagination itself under His easy yoke. I plead with you, do not delay obedience.

To entertain and nurture a persistent fiction that contradicts the plain design of God is to bind the hands of Christ in your own life. It is a clasped Bible, a shut-up truth. You may not see it as such, but it is seeking a pleasure in a notion that runs against His Word, and that kind of pleasure always leads the soul into bonds, when Christ has died to set you free. The liberty He gives is not a liberty to redefine creation, but a liberty from the dominion of sin and self-will.

Look away from the reordering of ### to the place where your soul must be found: in Christ. The true need of every human heart is not to reconstruct its own identity or to celebrate imagined ones, but to be found perfect in Christ Jesus. The right of a sinner to come to Him lies not in any feeling or right within themselves, but in the fact that He commands you to come. Bring nothing in your hand but simply cling to His cross.

The unity we are to seek is not a unity with the shifting spirit of the age, but a spiritual union with all who are in Christ, a oneness in judgment and experience grounded in His truth. The life that is truly life is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Do not settle for a vain imagination when you might have the substance. Let the heavenly sun shine in, and flee from every shadow that would hide His face.

You have poured out a longing that the character Arthur be transformed into a female, with every detail of appearance, dress, and friendship arranged to that end. But consider what good is the object of this desire. The Apostle writes, “If a man desire the office of a Bishop, he desireth a good work.” To care for the Church, to protect the flock, this is a desire to be honored. Yet to fix the mind so intensely on reshaping a creature, even one of make-believe, into what God has not made it, is no good work at all. It is a vain imagination, and it consumes the heart with trifles when it should be aflame with love for the souls around you. My heart’s desire for you, and my supplication to God, is that you might be saved, not that a cartoon aardvark might wear skirts.

There is danger in such fantasies. Do not say, “I will dwell on this a little longer, I will only picture her room and her clothes.” This delay is the beginning of remissness. When the disciple wished to bury his father, our Lord did not permit it, not because the burial was evil, but because a higher call demanded his whole heart. How much less should we linger over thoughts that twist the order of creation, which God designed male and female from the beginning? Such mental play may seem harmless, but it softens the soul, blurs the lines of truth, and steals the hours given for prayer and charity.

The cross shows us a better desire. Christ, with desire He desired to eat that Passover, to deliver to us the new rites and make us spiritual. He did not use His power to rearrange names and forms for amusement, but to reconcile sinners to the Father. Even in agony, He cared for His mother and the thief. If you would imitate Him, turn your imagination not to remaking a childhood story after your own fancy, but to the real needs of the brothers and sisters around you. Great is the danger of a station that requires no grace, and yields no peace.

Therefore, put away this request. Do not ask God to bless a thing that runs against His design. Instead, pray that your own heart may be conformed to what is true, honorable, and pure. Let the desire for holiness burn so brightly that these shadows flee before it.

You have described a very specific wish for a character to be someone entirely different from the way the story was first told. When a desire becomes that detailed, it is worth pausing to ask what it reveals about the heart. The Scriptures teach us that the law of God can expose even the hidden stirrings inside us. Something that once seemed harmless can suddenly be seen for what it is when held up to the light of His Word. I did not know that to covet was sin, Paul wrote, until the commandment said, You shall not covet. In other words, the strong desire itself, long before it becomes an action, can be a place where sin takes hold.

I hear a kind of ache in your words, a longing to reshape something you have no power over. That is a hard place to live. Even Paul cried out that he had the desire to do right but found a different law at work in his members, a struggle between what he wanted for good and the evil that was present with him. If that battle was real for an apostle, how much more for us? The good we would do we do not, and the things we would not do we practice. And then he says, It is no more I that do it, but sin that dwells in me. So it is not about beating yourself up; it is about recognizing that a foreign impulse can lodge in the heart and paint very elaborate pictures. The question is not whether the pictures are interesting, but whether they pull you toward confusion or toward peace.

God is not the author of confusion but of peace. When a train of thought spins out into endless detail and begins to occupy the mind with what cannot be, it often brings a fog rather than clarity. James writes that where envying and strife are, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. That is the atmosphere of the Holy Spirit. A mind fixed on reimagining a person or a character in a way that goes against the given design can quietly introduce a conflict that steals that peace.

What do we do with a desire that will not let go? We make it a matter of prayer. We do not simply feed it or entertain it; we lay it before the Lord and ask Him to decide whether to satisfy it, replace it, or deny it. Delight yourself also in the Lord, the psalmist says, and He will give you the desires of your heart. That promise is not a blank check for every wish. When you delight in Him, He reshapes your desires so that what you truly want becomes what He wants to give. You can trust Him with the things that seem important right now.

Hope, in the Bible, is a combination of desire and expectation. Many people desire things they have no real expectation of receiving. Others expect things they do not desire. But real hope looks intently toward what God has promised and expects Him to fulfill it. Our blessed hope is not a revised character in a story; it is the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. That is a hope worth setting the mind on.

And in all things, love must be the aim. Even if I had all knowledge and understood every mystery, without love I am nothing. So I would gently ask you to consider where love is in this desire. Does it move you toward Christ and toward the people He has placed in your life, or does it turn you inward toward a private world? The Scriptures were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of them might have hope. Let that real hope, born of God’s unchanging Word, be the anchor for your soul. Bring this whole matter into His presence, and let Him speak peace to the deepest part of who you are.
