I had this sickness when I was ###. The Lord heals me but now at ### I have it again. The term "rheumatoid arthritis" often refers to rheumatoid arthritis (RA), a chronic autoimmune disease that attacks the joints, causing severe inflammation, deformity, intense pain, and potential damage to organs such as the lungs or heart. Unlike osteoarthritis, RA is systemic, affects young or middle-aged people, and requires early specialized treatment to prevent disability. Key Characteristics of Rheumatoid Arthritis ("The Bad One") Systemic Attack: It not only affects joints but also causes extreme fatigue, fever, and can damage the skin, eyes, lungs, and heart. Symmetry: It usually affects the same joints on both sides of the body (e.g., both wrists). Morning Stiffness: Severe stiffness that lasts more than an hour, often several, upon waking or after rest. Joint Destruction: If left untreated, it leads to bone erosion, typical deformities in the hands and feet, and loss of function. Origin: It is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the synovial membrane of the joints.

We hear your struggle with rheumatoid arthritis and the pain it brings, both physically and emotionally. This disease is indeed relentless, attacking not just the joints but the whole body, leaving you weary and in distress. We stand with you in this battle, lifting you up in prayer and seeking God’s healing touch once more.

The Lord is our healer, as it is written in Exodus 15:26, *"If you will diligently listen to the Lord your God’s voice, and will do that which is right in his eyes, and will pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you."* We believe in His power to restore and renew, even when the battle seems long. Psalm 34:19 reminds us, *"Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all."* You are not forgotten, and your pain is seen by the One who holds all things together.

We also recognize that healing is not always immediate, and the journey can be filled with questions and weariness. In those moments, we cling to Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* The Lord walks with you in this trial, giving you strength when yours fades and hope when despair creeps in.

We pray now, lifting you before the throne of grace:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, interceding for our brother/sister who is battling rheumatoid arthritis. Lord, You are the Great Physician, the One who formed their body and knows every cell, every joint, every ache. We ask for Your healing touch to flow through them, bringing relief from pain, reducing inflammation, and restoring mobility. Where there is damage, we pray for Your miraculous repair. Where there is fatigue, we ask for Your sustaining strength. Father, we declare Your promise over them—that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5).

Lord, we also pray for wisdom for their doctors and caregivers. Guide their hands and minds as they seek the best treatments, and give our brother/sister discernment to follow Your leading in their care. Surround them with a community of believers who will uplift them in prayer, encouragement, and practical support.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We stand on Your Word, which says that no weapon formed against Your children will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We declare that this disease has no authority over them, for they are covered by the blood of Jesus. We speak life, restoration, and wholeness over their body in the mighty name of Jesus.

And Lord, if this trial is meant to draw them closer to You, use it for Your glory. Let them feel Your presence in the midst of the pain, and let their testimony be a light to others who are suffering. We trust You, Lord, for You are faithful, and Your mercies are new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this season, not just for healing but for a deeper relationship with Him. Psalm 103:2-3 says, *"Praise the Lord, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits—who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* Keep praising Him, even in the waiting, for He is worthy of our trust.

If you have not already, we also encourage you to seek godly counsel and medical care. Proverbs 15:22 reminds us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* The Lord can use doctors, treatments, and the wisdom of others to bring about His healing in your life.

You are not alone in this. We stand with you, believing that God is at work, even when the path is difficult. Hold fast to His promises, and let your heart be anchored in His love.

We're right here with you, friend, as you navigate through this rheumatoid arthritis journey. We know it's tough, with the constant pain, fatigue, and uncertainty. But remember, God is right there with you, every step of the way. He sees your struggle, and He cares deeply.

We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over you today, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We believe in His power to touch your body and bring healing. We're also reminded of 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Even in your weakness, God's strength is made known.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You today, lifting up our friend who is battling rheumatoid arthritis. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on their body. We pray for relief from pain, reduction in inflammation, and restoration of mobility. We also ask for Your strength to sustain them through the fatigue and weariness they may feel.

Father, we thank You for the doctors and caregivers who are looking after them. We ask for Your wisdom to guide their hands and minds as they seek the best treatments. We also pray for a community of believers to surround them, uplifting them in prayer, encouragement, and practical support.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. We stand on Your Word, knowing that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We declare that this disease has no authority over them, for they are covered by the blood of Jesus. We speak life, restoration, and wholeness over their body in the mighty name of Jesus.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Keep trusting in the Lord, even in the waiting. He is faithful, and His mercies are new every morning. You are not alone in this. We're standing with you, believing that God is at work, even when the path is difficult. Hold fast to His promises, and let your heart be anchored in His love.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you face the challenges of rheumatoid arthritis. It is a heavy burden to carry—this relentless pain, stiffness, and fatigue that seeks to wear down not just your body, but your spirit as well. We have lifted you before the Lord, asking Him to bring healing to your joints, strength to your body, and peace to your heart. We have prayed for wisdom for your doctors, for the right treatments to bring relief, and for God’s grace to sustain you through each day.

If the Lord has already moved in a mighty way—if you’ve experienced even a moment of relief, a lessening of pain, or a renewed sense of hope—we would love to hear your praise report. Let us rejoice with you and give thanks together for His faithfulness.

If, however, the battle still rages on and you feel no change, please know that we are still here with you. We encourage you to post this request again so that we may continue to intercede on your behalf. We believe in a God who heals, who restores, and who walks with us in the fire. Let us press in together, trusting that He hears our prayers and will answer in His perfect timing and way.

May the Lord bless you with His presence, comfort you with His love, and strengthen you with His power as you continue to seek Him. We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus.
