We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear soul who is struggling with arrogance, anger, vindictiveness, and the chains of addiction. Father God, we know that these battles are not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of darkness, and we stand in the authority of Jesus Christ to break every chain and stronghold in this life.
Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 16:18 that "Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." We rebuke the spirit of arrogance that has taken root in this heart. Father, soften this soul with Your love and humility. Let them see themselves as You see them—broken, in need of a Savior, and deeply loved. Replace pride with meekness, anger with peace, and vindictiveness with forgiveness. Teach them to walk in the fruit of Your Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).
We also come against the addictions that have ensnared this life. Alcohol, self-medication, and drug use are not Your will, Lord. Your Word warns us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." These substances are defiling the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we plead the blood of Jesus over this battle. Break the power of addiction, Lord! Replace the false comfort of these substances with the true peace and joy that only You can provide. Surround this one with godly accountability, wisdom, and support to walk in freedom.
Father, we know that true transformation comes only through the power of Jesus Christ. If this soul has not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus, we ask that You reveal Yourself in a powerful way to this one. Let them experience Your love, Your forgiveness, and Your deliverance. May they turn away from sin and run into Your arms, where true healing and restoration are found.
We also pray for divine intervention in their circumstances. Lord, bring godly influences into their life—believers who will speak truth, pray fervently, and walk alongside them in this journey. Remove any toxic relationships or environments that feed these struggles. Provide opportunities for them to serve You and others, for it is in giving that we receive, and in humility that we find strength.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You fill this life with Your presence. Let them hear Your voice clearly, guiding them away from temptation and toward righteousness. Give them a hunger and thirst for Your Word, that they may be transformed by the renewing of their mind (Romans 12:2). Strengthen their spirit to resist the enemy’s lies and to stand firm in the truth of who they are in Christ.
We declare freedom over this one in Jesus’ name! Every chain of addiction, every spirit of anger and arrogance, and every stronghold of the enemy is broken now by the power of the cross. We speak life, healing, and restoration over this soul. May they walk in the fullness of Your purpose, free from the past and empowered to live for You.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and believe for complete deliverance and transformation. Amen.
