We hear the pain and frustration in your words, and we want you to know that your heart’s cry does not fall on deaf ears. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). However, we must gently but firmly address the tone of your request, for it carries a spirit of demand rather than humble submission. God is not a genie to be summoned at our whim, nor is He obligated to fulfill our requests when they are made with bitterness or defiance. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts" (Isaiah 55:8-9).
You speak of enemies coming against you, and we take that seriously. The Bible assures us that the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble (Psalm 9:9). But we must also examine our own hearts, are we harboring unforgiveness, anger, or bitterness toward those who have wronged us? Jesus taught us to pray, "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors" (Matthew 6:12). Unforgiveness can hinder our prayers and our relationship with God. If there is anyone you need to forgive, we encourage you to release them to the Lord, trusting Him to be the righteous Judge (Romans 12:19).
You say, "If God will not do anything for me in my life, then let Him do this one thing," and we must rebuke this mindset in love. God has already done the greatest thing for you by sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins so that you might have eternal life (John 3:16). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so now. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Without Jesus, we have no access to the Father, and our prayers are in vain. If you are already a believer, we encourage you to realign your heart with His will, trusting that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who is struggling with pain, frustration, and a sense of abandonment. Lord, You see the depths of their hurt, and You collect every tear in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). We ask that You would draw near to them in this moment, reminding them of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Father, we repent on their behalf for any spirit of demand or bitterness in their heart. Soften their spirit, Lord, and help them to release their enemies into Your hands. Teach them to pray, "Not my will, but Yours be done" (Luke 22:42).
Lord, if there is unforgiveness in their heart, reveal it to them and give them the strength to forgive as You have forgiven them (Colossians 3:13). We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, they will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for Your protection over their life, their mind, and their spirit. Surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we ask that You would renew their hope in You. Remind them that You are the God who sees (Genesis 16:13) and the God who hears (Psalm 18:6). Help them to trust in Your timing and Your ways, even when they do not understand. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of their need for a Savior. May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).
Lord, we also pray for their enemies. If they are acting out of ignorance or malice, we ask that You would bring conviction to their hearts and lead them to repentance. If they are instruments of the enemy, we rebuke every assignment of darkness against this one’s life in the name of Jesus. We declare that no plan of the enemy will succeed, and every attack will be turned around for their good (Genesis 50:20).
Finally, Father, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, giving them strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. May they find their identity and worth in You alone, knowing that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). We trust You to work all things together for their good, and we thank You for hearing our prayer. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Dear one, we want to leave you with this encouragement: God has not forgotten you. He is working even when you cannot see it. The psalmist wrote, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord" (Psalm 27:14). Do not lose heart. Keep pressing into Him, even when it feels like He is silent. His promises are true, and His love for you is unshakable. If you are feeling overwhelmed, reach out to a trusted believer who can pray with you and remind you of God’s faithfulness. You are not alone.
