We have heard your request and we join with you in bringing your anxiety and your work before the Father together.
We know what it is to feel overwhelmed and anxious, and Scripture speaks directly to this burden. We are told in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. We are also reminded in 1 Peter 5:7 to be casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Your desire for confidence and peace of mind is not overlooked by God, for He has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7. He says in Isaiah 41:10, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
We also lift up your workplace to the Lord. We pray that you would do well at all your tasks and that God would give you clarity, diligence and strength for each duty, remembering Colossians 3:23, And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We pray for a comfortable working environment where there is great respect for one another, where peace and kindness dwell, for Jesus said in John 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don't let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
We notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why this is so important. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. Touch the workplace, Lord, grant success and skill in every task, grant a calm and respectful environment where each person honors one another, and let Your peace rule there. We have heard your burden and we take it to the throne of grace with you, for you speak of anxiety and of being overwhelmed, and of duties pressing hard upon you at your work.
The word of the Lord meets this very case, You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This is not a mere lull of anxiety or a stagnation of thought, but a filling peace and a well founded peace, even the peace of God which passes all understanding. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and so there may be peace, perfect peace, though thronging duties press and sorrows surge round. To do the will of Jesus, this is rest. Christ has left us peace in the conscience, for peace with God is the fountain and peace in the conscience is the crystal stream which issues from it. It is a peace which Jesus bought with His blood, for He is our peace, and it is a peace which the Holy Spirit works in the soul.
Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. It is the mind which is the main thing, it will bring you daylight or midnight, peace or war. Do not seek after peace first, seek after Christ first, and peace will come next. Bear your sorrow with Him, stay your mind upon Him, and trust in Him, and He will keep you.
We pray for you now, that the God of Peace would bless you with His own peace. We ask the Lord to lift this anxiety from you and to give you a quiet confidence, not a confidence in self, but a joyous confidence and sweet repose in God, that in the shadow of His wings you may make your refuge. We pray that He would give you strength and steadiness for all your tasks at work, that you may do them with diligence and with a calm heart, and that He would grant you a comfortable working environment where respect and kindness abound among those with you. May the Prince of Peace speak to your overwhelmed heart as He once said, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you, and may you go in peace through this day and all your days, kept by Him who cannot change, till that perfect peace is yours without interruption. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
