I have been feeling anxious today . This is to do with my driving theory test. I won't be taking my test for a few months. As I have alot to get through.
Also my daughter has been seeing a young man whom I don't think is good for her. He has messed her around 3 times and she still went out with him last night. Please pray for us. In Jesus name.

We hear your heart today and we are joining with you in prayer in Jesus' name, thanking God that you have come to Him in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.

We understand the anxiety you are feeling about your driving theory test. Even though it is still a few months away, the weight of all there is to learn can feel overwhelming. We want to encourage you that God sees this worry and He invites you to bring it to Him. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you. God did not give us a spirit of fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 says For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. Isaiah 41:10 says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We encourage you to take this anxiety to the Lord each time it rises, thanking Him that He is with you as you prepare, and trusting Him with the outcome. Be diligent in your study, doing your part faithfully in small steps each day, while resting in His strength and not in your own understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. He will give you peace as you prepare.

We are also lifting up your daughter with you. We share your concern that this young man has messed her around three times and yet she still went out with him again last night. We know how painful it is as a mother to watch your daughter give her heart to someone who does not value or cherish her as God intends. A godly young man who is seeking a wife should treat a young woman with honor, consistency, respect and purity, as a sister in Christ, not with instability or by playing with her emotions. Proverbs 4:23 says Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the wellspring of life. We pray that the Lord will guard her heart and give her discernment to see this relationship clearly.

We believe in the sanctity of marriage as a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we believe that being a boyfriend or girlfriend should be considered courtship with the goal being marriage to another Christian believer. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? We pray that if this young man is not a faithful believer who is seeking to honor God and honor her toward godly marriage, that the Lord would make that clear to her and give her the strength to step away. We also want to gently encourage purity in courtship. If there is any temptation toward sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we remember that God calls us to flee from it. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled. Courtship should be pure and self-controlled, looking forward to marriage that honors God.

We will pray together now.

Father, we lift up our sister to You in Jesus' name. You see her anxiety about her driving theory test and the pressure she feels with so much to learn. We ask You to quiet her heart with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, to guard her heart and thoughts in Christ Jesus, and to remind her daily that You are with her, strengthening and upholding her. Give her wisdom and discipline as she studies, and help her to trust You with the results.

We also lift up her precious daughter to You. Lord, surround her with Your protection and love. Open her eyes to see the true character of this young man and whether he is seeking to honor You and to honor her. Give her wisdom, self-worth in Christ, and courage to set godly boundaries and to wait for a godly husband who will love her as Christ loves the church. Give our sister wisdom and grace as a mother to speak truth in love, to counsel without pushing away, and to keep entrusting her daughter to Your hands. Draw both mother and daughter closer to You and closer to each other, and lead this young woman toward a future marriage that honors You if it be Your will. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to keep bringing both of these burdens to the Lord daily, to continue to gently share biblical truth with your daughter with love and patience, and to trust that God is working even when you cannot see the outcome. We are standing with you in prayer.

We heard how heavy today has felt for you, with that theory test still months away and yet sitting so large in your mind, and with the worry you carry for your daughter.

It makes sense that you would feel anxious when there is a lot to get through and the test feels far off. When the whole mountain is in view at once it is hard not to feel wound up. And as a mom, watching your daughter go back to someone who has hurt her three times already is painful. You want to protect her and it hurts to feel you cannot.

Since the test is not for a few months, one gentle step that helps many people is to give the preparation a smaller shape. Instead of carrying all of it every day, you might set a simple, short time to look at the material and then intentionally set it aside to rest, pray, and do other things. It can ease that sense of having to master everything at once.

With your daughter, staying a safe place she can talk to often matters more than having the perfect words. Letting her know you love her, you are concerned because you have seen her hurt, and you are here to listen can keep the door open while you continue to pray for wisdom for her.

Father, we lift this dear sister and her daughter to You. Quiet her anxious thoughts today and give her rest and steady focus for the days ahead. Give her wisdom and grace as she loves her daughter, and draw her daughter close to You and to what is truly good for her. Lead them both in Your peace. In Jesus name, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is a gracious invitation to cast all your care upon Him who careth for you, and your request has been carried to the mercy seat in that confidence.

You speak of anxiety concerning a driving theory test which is yet some months away. Our Saviour says, do not be anxious about your temporal affairs. Be prudent and diligent. Prepare with care as stewardship requires, for you have no right to be wasteful of time or opportunity, but when you have done your best with what is before you, do not sit down and wring your hands because you cannot master it all at once. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. To worry about a trial months distant only clouds the mind for present duty. Rather, ask wisdom of God, who giveth to all men liberally. If you are much troubled up and down in your thoughts, cry unto Him even out of the depths, and He will instruct you and bring you into a safe way. Seek composure of mind, freedom from fretfulness and clean deliverance from alarm, so that whatever happens the heart keeps on at its own quiet pace, delighting itself in a faithful God.

You speak also as a mother burdened for your daughter, and such a burden well understood is no light thing. With what sorrow and anguish has many a mother had to remember a child led in a painful way, such iron enters into the soul. There is never a child given but it brings care and labour and anxiety with it, and when a daughter turns again to one who has messed her about and caused her hurt, the mother's heart is torn. We would not upbraid harshly, but we would sit down and weep in sympathy with those that feel a kindred anxiety. Your love for her is right, but if anxiety is confined to yourself it will bring no good. Take it to the Lord.

The question that should press most upon a Christian parent is not merely whether a companionship will bring earthly happiness, but whether the soul is safe. Is the young man safe. Is the daughter safe in Christ. That is the matter over which all our deepest concern should be expended, for salvation is in Jesus Christ alone. We do not ask the Lord to bless a relationship that would lead away from holiness, purity and truth, for marriage is ordained as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy and living together belong within it. What we do ask is that the Lord would grant your daughter wisdom, discernment and strength to walk in purity, to see clearly where harm has been done, and to be kept from that which would entangle and wound her again. May He guard her heart and draw her to seek first His will and His ways.

We will pray for you both now.

O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this anxious heart. Forgive fretfulness and grant quiet trust in Thy providence. Give diligence for present duty concerning this test, and take away the burden of needless care for what is yet afar off. Bestow wisdom to prepare well and peace to rest in Thy hand. Look also upon this daughter. Keep her in Thy truth, save her by Thy grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and lead her in paths of righteousness. Give her eyes to see what is good and firmness to turn from what would harm her. Give her mother composure of faith like Sarah of old, who was not afraid with any amazement, but trusted in the faithful God. Sustain this household, and let all things work for good to those who love Thee. In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.
