We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of anxiety and overwhelm. Father, we know that You do not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written that He came so that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that this anxiety has no place in Your child’s life, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Lord, we pray that You would calm the troubled heart of Your beloved. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). When the waves of worry rise, remind them that You are the One who stills the storm with a word (Mark 4:39). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Teach them to be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, to let their requests be made known to You (Philippians 4:6).
We also lift up their work before You, Father. You are the God who equips and strengthens. We pray that they would excel in all their tasks, not by their own might, but by Your Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). Give them wisdom, focus, and clarity of mind. May their hands be steady, their thoughts be clear, and their efforts be fruitful. Let their work be a testimony to Your glory, and may they find joy in the labor You have called them to.
Father, we ask that You would create a working environment filled with mutual respect, kindness, and encouragement. Let there be no strife, no gossip, no bitterness, but rather a spirit of unity and peace (Ephesians 4:2-3). Raise up godly leaders and coworkers who will reflect Your love and grace. Where there is tension, bring reconciliation. Where there is unfairness, bring justice. Where there is stress, bring Your peace.
Lord, we know that confidence does not come from within ourselves, but from You. Help them to find their strength in You alone. Remind them that they can do all things through Christ who strengthens them (Philippians 4:13). When self-doubt creeps in, let them hear Your voice saying, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). May they walk in the assurance that You are with them, that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Hebrews 13:5).
We also want to gently remind our brother or sister in Christ that true peace and confidence are found only in a personal relationship with Jesus. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Him, we pray that they would do so today. For it is written, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life—no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). If they have already placed their faith in Him, we encourage them to draw nearer to Him through prayer, reading Your Word, and fellowship with other believers.
Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, who brings comfort, guidance, and power. Let them experience the fullness of Your presence in every moment of their day. May they find rest in You, for You have said, “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
We declare over them today: Peace be still. Anxiety, you have no place here. Fear, you must flee. For the Lord our God is with us, and He is greater than all our struggles. We trust in Him, and we will not be shaken. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
