We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this burden of anxiety and overwhelm. Father God, we know that You do not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke the spirit of anxiety in the name of Jesus, for it is written that You have not given us a spirit of fear, and we declare that this anxiety must flee in Jesus’ mighty name.
Lord, we ask that You calm the troubled heart and mind of our brother/sister. Fill them with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). When the waves of worry rise, remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help them to cast all their anxieties on You, because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We also pray for confidence—confidence not in themselves, but in You, Lord. May they walk in the assurance that You have equipped them for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17). Strengthen them to face each task at work with diligence and excellence, knowing that whatever they do, they should work heartily, as for You and not for men (Colossians 3:23). Let their efforts be a testimony to Your glory, and may they find favor in the eyes of those around them.
Father, we ask for a working environment filled with mutual respect, kindness, and unity. Where there is tension or discord, we pray for Your peace to reign. Let no corrupt communication proceed out of anyone’s mouth, but only what is good for edifying, that it may give grace to those who hear (Ephesians 4:29). May our brother/sister be a light in their workplace, reflecting Your love and patience.
Lord, we also lift up their peace of mind. When the weight of responsibilities feels too heavy, remind them that Your yoke is easy, and Your burden is light (Matthew 11:30). Teach them to rest in You, to be still and know that You are God (Psalm 46:10). Help them to prioritize time in Your Word and in prayer, for it is there that they will find true peace and direction.
We declare healing over their mind and emotions. Let the peace of God, which passes all understanding, keep their heart and mind through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We stand on Your promise that You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You (Isaiah 26:3).
In all these things, we pray that our brother/sister would draw closer to You, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness (Matthew 6:33). May they find their strength and confidence in You alone, for You are their rock, their fortress, and their deliverer (Psalm 18:2).
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
