We join with you in seeking God's protection and guidance for this year and we hear your heart for safety and peace when you feel surrounded by foes who have plotted against you and sought to destroy what God has entrusted to you.

We want to lovingly correct an important matter in your prayer, because we care for your walk with God. You called upon your guardian angel to watch over you and shield you. While Scripture clearly teaches that angels are real and active, we are never taught to pray to angels or to call upon them directly. Angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation as we see in Hebrews 1:14, and Psalm 34:7 says The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them, and Psalm 91:11 says For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. It is God Himself who commands His angels concerning us. We pray to the Father alone, through Jesus Christ. Even the angels refuse worship and direct us to worship God alone as we see in Revelation 19:10 and Revelation 22:8-9, and Colossians 2:18 warns us not to be led astray by the worship of angels. Your protection, guidance, and peace must be sought directly from God.

We also notice you asked for vengeance. We understand the pain of being wronged and having your belongings and activities attacked, but Scripture teaches us to leave vengeance in God's hands and not to seek it for ourselves. Romans 12:19 says Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place to wrath. For it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord. And Deuteronomy 32:35 reminds us that vengeance and recompense belong to God. Instead, Jesus calls us to love and pray for those who oppose us, as in Matthew 5:44, trusting God's perfect justice and mercy.

We also noticed your prayer was addressed to God in general but not through Jesus Christ. We say this gently because it is so vital, there is only one way to the Father. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And 1 Timothy 2:5 says For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, and Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and it is through His sacrifice on the cross and resurrection that we are forgiven and reconciled to God. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing He died for your sins and rose again.

We do rejoice that you desire God's guidance and illumination for your path. Psalm 32:8 says I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. And Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. And for protection, Psalm 91:1-2 says He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that You are our refuge and fortress. We ask for Your divine protection over this dear one throughout this year, guard their life, their home, their belongings and their activities from every scheme of the enemy. Command Your angels concerning them according to Your will, to guard them as You have promised. Lead their steps, illuminate their path with Your Word, and grant peace to their heart that surpasses understanding. We ask that You deal justly with those who have plotted against them, not according to our desire for revenge, but according to Your perfect righteousness and mercy. Help them to forgive as You have forgiven us, to release bitterness, and to trust Your justice. Draw them closer to Jesus, that they may know Him as Savior and Lord and find confidence that when they pray in His name they are heard. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, strengthen their faith, and let them rest in Your divine care. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and mediator, Amen.

Antricks, thank you for bringing your heart here so honestly. Wanting to feel safe, steady, and guided through this year makes sense, especially when it feels like others have been working against you and even your daily activities and belongings have been affected. It is heavy to carry that sense of being watched or opposed, and we want you to know we are praying for your peace and protection.

We hear your desire for someone close to watch over you. We turn to God Himself for that care, coming to Him through Jesus who invites us to bring every fear and need directly to the Father. He sees what you are facing and He is the one who guards and leads His people day by day.

One simple next step that may help is to set aside a few quiet minutes each morning to talk with God in Jesus' name about the day ahead, naming the specific places you feel vulnerable or unsure and asking for His wisdom for the next right step. If you have a trusted pastor or mature believer nearby, sharing these burdens with them can also bring steady support and prayer over time.

Father, we lift ### to You today. We ask for Your protection over his life and home, for Your peace to settle his heart, and for clear guidance for each decision this year. Give him wisdom where there is opposition and help him to rest in Your care. Lead his steps and draw him closer to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your desire for protection and guidance through this year is heard, and it is right to seek the Lord who alone is our keeper and our shield. The Scriptures do indeed teach that the Lord gives His angels charge over His people, as you have quoted from Psalm 91, and that they are ministering spirits sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation. Yet we are not taught to call upon or to pray to angels, but to call upon the living God Himself, who commands them. There is one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, and through Him the veil is torn from top to bottom so that we may come boldly to the throne of grace itself.

It is well to remember that vengeance belongs unto the Lord. From the time when Satan fell, God's purpose has been to break down everything which sets itself up in opposition to Him, and He will cast down the mighty from their seats while He lifts up the poor. But our part is not to ask for personal vengeance, but to bow with submission to the Divine will and to pray as David did, Deliver me from all my transgressions, and having come to complete submission, to say, Your will be done. Then we may pray very boldly for deliverance, leaving the recompense of our enemies in the hands of Him who judges righteously and who has shown unimpeachable justice at the cross.

So also for guidance. Naturally we do not like being guided, but the grace of God dethrones obstinacy and gives us acquiescence in the Divine will, and by that very fact we are furnished with unerring guidance. Divine Wisdom, dressed in robes of love and tenderness, invites us to run into her arms, and she guides us not by a whisper from an angel apart from the Word, but by His Word, by His Spirit, and by His providence. Providential interpositions are frequent among God's people, and many can say, He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters. His divine Spirit works all our works in us.

Therefore let us pray not to an angel, but to the Father through the Son who alone can save.

O Lord our God, we thank You that You are sovereign and that there is no attribute more comforting to Your children than Your Divine Sovereignty. We confess that we have sinned and that Your justice is holy and right, and we flee to Jesus Christ whose blood has satisfied that justice, that whosoever confesses sin should be pardoned and cleansed from all unrighteousness. We ask You to keep this soul under the shadow of Your wings this year, to guide every step according to Your counsel, to illuminate the path by Your Word, and to bring peace to the heart by Your Spirit. Deliver from all transgressions, remove Your stroke where it seems good to Your mercy, and keep from all harm as it pleases Your wisdom. We leave those who plot or oppose in Your hands, praying that You would do what is just and merciful, and that You would turn hearts to Yourself. Let Your presence go with us, for without it we cannot go up, and let us be led by Your grace to glory. We ask this not by the power of angels, but by the blood and intercession of Jesus Christ our Lord, in whose name alone is salvation. Amen.
