Thank you for sharing your heart and laying these burdens before the Lord. We join you in bringing each of these needs directly to Jesus, because through Him the way has been opened for us to come boldly to the throne of grace to make our requests known. We do not need another intercessor, for Jesus Himself invites us to come to Him, and He hears us when we pray in His name.

We are praying with you for your mother. The Lord has shown His power over sickness and infirmity, and all healing is in His hands. We ask Him to touch her lungs and body, to grant strength for her to breathe on her own and to restore her so she can leave the hospital, if it is His gracious will. We trust His wisdom and mercy even as we ask for healing, knowing that He does what is best and that His compassion for her is greater than ours.

We also lift up your grandchildren, your daughters, your son and your nephew before the Lord. We pray that your grandsons would seek honest work, turn away from trouble, and be diligent in school and in learning a trade, using the gifts God has given them with faithfulness. We pray that your granddaughter would grow in discipline and care for the body God has given her, and that your daughters would know God's provision and be able to provide faithfully for their households and meet their responsibilities. For your son, we pray that God would work in his heart to love truth, to turn from lying, to be dependable in helping to meet the needs of the home, and to order his life according to God's ways. And for your nephew, we ask for God's blessing on his physical, mental and daily needs. We pray too that in the Lord's timing you would be able to meet your grandson, and that the Lord would keep your whole family safe and secure under His care.

Scripture teaches that whoever does the will of God belongs to the family of God, and that bond in Christ is deeper than even blood ties. It also teaches that we are to honor father and mother and that children are to be trained in the right way through the cooperative love and instruction of parents. The greatest security any family can have is not only physical safety but belonging to Jesus by faith and walking in His will. That is why we pray above all that each member of your family would love Jesus most, putting Him first even before family, and that you all would know the forgiveness and new life that comes through faith in Him alone. When the whole family seeks the Lord together, there is a beautiful unity and strength that He gives.

May the Lord give you peace as you trust Him with each name and each need you have mentioned. May He guide your loved ones toward responsibility, honesty, hard work and love for one another, and may He draw each one to do His will. We continue to ask the Father in Jesus name to watch over you and your family, to provide, to heal according to His perfect will, and to keep you close to Himself.
