We join you in thanking the Lord and in lifting up you and your whole family before our Father in Jesus name, for He is good and His loving kindness endures forever and we are grateful you have come to Him in the name of Jesus, for as it is written John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We stand with you in prayer for your dear mother, asking the Lord who gives breath to all flesh to touch her lungs and restore her. We pray that He will strengthen her body and allow her to breathe on her own and be released from the hospital soon according to His mercy. We remember the promise in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh and in Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. We ask for wisdom and steady hands for her caregivers and for peace for you as you wait upon the Lord.
We also bring your grandsons before the Lord. We pray they will seek first the kingdom of God and that He will open doors for honest work and for education that honors Him. As it is written Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus and Proverbs 16:3 Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We pray they will stay out of trouble and walk in purity, for Psalm 119:9 says How can a young man keep his way pure, By living according to your word. We ask that they will be diligent in college and high school, that God will give them understanding and excellence, for Proverbs 4:7 says Wisdom is supreme. Get wisdom. Yes, though it costs all your possessions, get understanding. We pray for the one seeking his drivers license, that he will be responsible and safe and use that privilege with maturity.
We pray for your granddaughter that she will grow in caring for the body God has given her, for we are reminded in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's. We pray she will form good habits in hygiene and in all things and know she is fearfully and wonderfully made.
We lift up your daughters and your son. We pray for better employment and greater income for your daughter and for faithfulness in stewardship, that she and your son will pay what is owed on time and live within their means, for Romans 13:8 says Owe no one anything, except to love one another and Luke 16:10 reminds us He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. We gently rebuke and correct the pattern of lying in your son, because lying does not align with the character of Christ and harms trust and witness. As it is written Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another and Colossians 3:9 says Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings. We pray he will turn from falsehood, get his life together in Christ, walk in truth and take responsibility for rent and bills with integrity. We pray for your daughter concerning where she lives and works, that the Lord will make her path clear and give her peace and counsel, for Proverbs 3:5-6 says Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
We pray for your nephew for healing and for success that is rooted in walking with the Lord, and for you, that the Lord will touch your body and bring your blood pressure into balance, for He is Yahweh who heals us as shown in Exodus 15:26 and we pray as in 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers. We ask for provision regarding a salary increase as the Lord wills, and more than outward happiness we pray for deep joy and contentment in Christ, for Psalm 16:11 says You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy and Philippians 4:4 says Rejoice in the Lord always, Again I will say, rejoice. We pray you will cast your anxieties on Him, for Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We now pray together, Father we thank You for this family and for Your love toward each one. We ask in Jesus name that You lay Your healing hand upon our dear mother, restore her breath, strengthen her lungs, lift her from the ventilator and bring her home soon if it be Your will. We ask You to guide each grandson to work that is honest, to keep them from evil companions and to give them hunger for learning and diligence to excel. We ask You to help our granddaughter to care for herself and to grow in grace. We ask You to provide for our daughters and our son, to teach them to work heartily as for You, to be truthful and faithful in paying their obligations and to seek Your direction for where to live and labor. We ask You to convict and cleanse where there has been lying and to establish truth and responsibility. We ask You to heal our nephew and cause him to prosper in what is good. We ask You to heal our bodies, to regulate blood pressure, to provide for financial needs and to fill our hearts with Your joy that does not depend on circumstances. We trust Your goodness and Your timing and we ask all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
