Answer Prayers

We join you in prayer before the Lord and thank Him that you have brought your whole family to Him with trust. We have heard each of your requests and we lift them up with you to our merciful Father through Jesus Christ, in whom alone we have salvation and access to God.

We pray for your mother, that the Lord in His mercy would touch her body, strengthen her lungs, help her to breathe on her own, be delivered from the ventilator, and if it be His will, be restored and released from the hospital soon. We ask God to give wisdom to her physicians and peace to you and your family as you wait on Him, bearing this trial with thankfulness and patience, knowing that He is able to restore and to reward those who trust Him.

We pray for your grandsons. For the one who needs work and direction, that God would provide honest work, keep him from trouble, and guide him into further education for a useful life. For the one who needs work and to return to college, that God would open a door for labor and for learning. For the one who is in college, that God would help him to remain, to be diligent, and to excel. For the one in high school, that God would help him to study well, to grow in maturity, and to obtain his drivers license with responsibility and safety.

We pray for your granddaughter, that she would grow in care for the body God has given her and form good habits of cleanliness and health.

We pray for your daughters, that the Lord would provide better work with sufficient income, help them to be faithful in paying what they owe on time for car and rent, and give them wisdom about where to live and work. We pray that He would guide their decisions so they may live in a settled and orderly way that honors Him. We pray for your son, that God would lead him away from lying, help him to get his life in order, to speak truth, to work faithfully, and to meet his obligations for rent and bills with integrity.

We pray for your nephew, that God would heal him according to His will and grant him success in what is good and right.

And we pray for you, that the Lord would care for your health, help your blood pressure to be stable under the care of your doctors, provide for your financial needs with an increase as He sees best, and give you true happiness that comes from confidence in Christ. Do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward. Even when answers seem delayed, keep praying and trusting, for God often works through many prayers over time, like many strokes that at last bring fruit, and He hears every prayer offered in faith.

We will continue to pray with you, asking all these things in the name of Jesus, our only hope and healer. Amen.
