Answer Prayers

We join with you in lifting up your grandson in prayer, standing firmly on the promise that God is able to transform even the most troubled hearts. The Scriptures assure us, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB). We declare this truth over your grandson’s life, believing that God’s grace is sufficient to break chains of bondage and lead him into freedom.

Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, asking for Your divine intervention in this situation. We pray that any legal troubles threatening your grandson would be resolved according to Your will, and that he would be spared from the consequences of past mistakes. Lord, we know that "mercy triumphs over judgment" (James 2:13 WEB), and we ask that You extend Your mercy to him. Surround him with godly influences, people who will speak truth, love, and accountability into his life. Soften his heart to receive correction and wisdom, for "the fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10 WEB).

We also rebuke the spirit of rebellion and waywardness that may be at work in his life. The Bible warns us that "the way of the transgressor is hard" (Proverbs 13:15 WEB), and we pray that he would turn away from paths that lead to destruction. Father, draw him to Yourself with cords of love. Let him experience the peace that comes from surrendering to You, for "You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You" (Isaiah 26:3 WEB).

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your grandson, trusting that God hears your cries. Remember the words of Jesus: "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you" (Matthew 7:7 WEB). Stand on the truth that God is not slow in keeping His promises, and that He desires repentance and restoration for your grandson even more than you do.

Lord, we ask that You would work powerfully in this young man’s life. Let him encounter Your love in a tangible way, so that he may turn from his sins and walk in the newness of life that only You can provide. We pray for protection over him, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Shield him from the enemy’s schemes and surround him with Your angels. May he come to know You as his Savior and Lord, and may his life bring glory to Your name.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We ache with you over , and we thank God for a grandmother who doesn’t give up on her grandson. Your love for him is a living picture of the kind of patient hope that weathers many wrong turns, and it moves us to pray alongside you right now.

When the path ahead is tangled with legal trouble and poor choices, it’s easy to feel that nothing is changing. But we’ve seen how faithful prayer, especially the steady, quiet prayers of a grandparent, often works slowly, underground, across years. You are planting something in ’s life that God can cause to bloom later, even when you can’t watch it grow day by day. Your heartfelt “Come into his life” is exactly the kind of prayer that reaches heaven and keeps reaching into the cracks of a hard situation.

Know that you are not carrying this alone. We join you in asking Jesus to protect from an arrest warrant and to keep him out of jail, but more importantly, to meet him in a way that genuinely turns him toward better choices. We ask for that encounter of mercy that doesn’t just change the outward circumstances but plants a new want-to deep inside.

Lord Jesus, we bring this grandson before you with a grandmother’s love behind every word. Shield from legal action that would trap him further. Send people into his life who will speak truth with compassion. And in your perfect timing, soften his heart, open his eyes to the better life you created him for. Hold this grandmother close; give her peace while she waits, and renew her hope each morning. In your strong name, Amen.

The request laid before the throne of grace for your grandson is heard, yet we must press beyond mere deliverance from an earthly warrant. To simply pray for the avoidance of jail is to ask only for the removal of a consequence, while the soul remains in a far more dreadful prison. The Word of God is a search warrant that enters the hidden places of the heart; it has concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. Your grandson is under a double arrest, first, by the law of the land, but second and more solemnly, by the righteous sentence of a holy God. You may escape a warrant of arrest by fleeing to certain countries, though I scarcely know where you can now go, but how can you escape from the Word of God? That Word changed chaos into order.

Consider the prayer you have uttered: ask not only that the hand of man be stayed, but that the heart of your grandson be seized by a greater, gracious power. The meaning of our text comes out clearly when we think of sorrows that end in death, yet behold the wonderful transformation that divine grace can work. Poor old Jacob sorrowed greatly when he thought he had lost his son Joseph, but God turned that bitterness itself into sweetness. So, too, the soul that is arrested by conviction of sin may find that this jail-delivery comes by promise. The same Word that reveals the terrors of the Lord also says, "He that believes on the Son has everlasting life." Cry therefore to the Lord for saving faith to be given to your grandson, for a work of grace is the only sure warrant for a changed life. He who has caused us to be regenerate men Himself taught us that whoever believes in Him shall be saved.

Do not fix your hopes on a mere reformation of outward conduct. If the man is kept from jail yet remains an enemy to God by wicked works, what has been gained? The vanity of a life that consists in the abundance or ease of earthly things is a snare. The life is more than the body, and the body more than raiment. It is a greater thing to have Christ living in us than to walk free in the streets of a city that will soon perish. Yet there is encouragement here: every trial of our pilgrimage life was foreseen of God, and we may depend upon it that it has been forestalled. Even this present fear of a warrant may be the appointed means to conclude your grandson under sin, that he may fly to the promise. You ask for a changed life; then seek for him no lesser warrant for believing than the gospel command itself. The commandment of God is a sufficient warrant for a sinner to believe in Jesus Christ. Plead that he may look to the Crucified One, for there is life for a look at Him. May the Holy Spirit quicken that Word to his soul, that death may become the gate of life, and the Word which is against him may be on his side forever.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
