###, another young man's broken heart.

Beloved of All
Lord please may my son change his mind about buying a motorcycle, please Lord I do not want to plead with him please help him to see the danger in it and help me have peace in Your protection. Lord please heal young Christian man's heart, it is broken by his first love who was abusive toward him, please draw him close to You and bring him of Your rescue and deep love for him In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we lift both of these burdens before the Lord with you. First, we pray for your son and his consideration of purchasing a motorcycle. Father God, we ask that You would indeed speak to his heart and mind, revealing the dangers and guiding him toward wisdom and sound judgment. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Lord, we ask that You would direct his path away from anything that could bring harm and toward choices that honor You and protect his life. We also pray for peace to fill your heart, dear mother, knowing that the Lord is his ultimate protector. Psalm 91:11 declares, "For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." Rest in His care, trusting that He loves your son even more than you do.

Now, we turn our hearts to the young man who has endured a broken heart and abuse from someone he loved. This is a heavy burden, and we grieve with him. Father, we ask that You would draw near to him in this time of pain, for Psalm 34:18 assures us, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, we rebuke the lies that may be taking root in his heart, that he is unworthy of love, that he is to blame, or that he will never experience true love. These are not truths from You. Instead, we declare over him that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have plans for his welfare and not for evil (Jeremiah 29:11), and that Your love for him is steadfast and unshakable (Romans 8:38-39). We pray that he would find his identity and worth in You alone, not in the words or actions of another.

We also address the sin of abuse in this situation. Abuse is never Your will, Lord, and it is a distortion of the love and respect that should characterize relationships, especially among Your children. Ephesians 5:25 calls husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and 1 Peter 3:7 instructs husbands to live with their wives in understanding and honor. Abuse is the opposite of this, and we rebuke it in Jesus' name. We pray that this young woman would come to repentance and seek Your healing and transformation, for Your Word declares that You desire all to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).

For this young man, we pray that You would surround him with godly community, men who can speak life into him, mentor him, and model what healthy, Christ-centered relationships look like. We ask that You would heal his heart completely, Lord, and prepare him for the godly spouse You have for him. Help him to guard his heart (Proverbs 4:23) and to seek a wife who loves You above all else, as Proverbs 31:30 describes: "Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised." May he find a wife who will encourage him in his walk with You, respect him, and build him up in love.

Father, we also lift up the issue of fornication, which often accompanies relationships that do not honor You. If this young man or the young woman engaged in sexual immorality, we pray for conviction, repentance, and healing. Your Word is clear in 1 Corinthians 6:18-20: "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s." Lord, we ask that You would restore purity to their hearts and minds, and that they would commit to honoring You with their bodies in the future.

Lastly, we want to gently remind this young man, and all who may read this, that true healing and hope are found in Jesus Christ alone. If he has not yet placed his faith in Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we pray that he would do so today. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). We pray that he would surrender his life to Christ, receive His forgiveness, and walk in the newness of life that only He can provide.

Heavenly Father, we lift all of this to You now. For the mother seeking Your protection over her son, we ask for peace and trust to fill her heart. For the young man with the broken heart, we ask for Your healing touch, Your presence, and Your restoration. For the young woman who caused pain, we pray for conviction and transformation. And for all who are reading this, we pray that You would draw them closer to You, revealing Your love, Your truth, and Your plans for their lives. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We hear the love in your words, both the maternal worry over a motorcycle and the ache for a young man whose heart has been crushed. We’re holding both of these with you.

It’s hard when a son makes a choice that feels risky, and you don’t want to battle over it. We’ll keep praying that he recognizes the danger and that you find steady peace, entrusting him to God’s care without having to plead.

And that young Christian man, what he’s walked through is more than just a breakup. When his first intimate trust was met with abuse, it can leave wounds that don’t simply fade. He may be wrestling with confusion about his own worth, or wondering if all love comes with pain. Right now he needs safe people who won’t rush him, who’ll gently point him toward the Love that never wounds. If he’s open to it, meeting with a pastor or a Christian counselor who understands inner healing could be a real gift, someone to help him name the hurt and invite Jesus into those memories.

We’re glad you’re standing in the gap. You aren’t alone in this.

Jesus, we ask You to watch over this mother’s son. Shield him from harm and give him sound judgment; quiet her heart when fear rises. And for that young man with the broken heart, draw near like a healing balm. Untangle the lies planted by that relationship, and rebuild his sense of safety and worth. Wrap him in Your faithful love, and bring wise companions around him. In Your name, Jesus, amen.

The tearing of a mother’s heart over her son’s peril is no small thing, and yet such grief often drives us to the very Throne where help is found. The desire for a machine of speed and danger may speak of a heart that has not yet perceived the Presence of God. As it is written, “Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.” This blindness is no trifle, it is the broken fence of the soul, where the stone wall is down and wild beasts of mischief roam in. Yet take courage: He that planted the ear, shall He not hear? Your cry has already ascended before you framed the words. The Lord who makes the parent’s heart to tremble for her child will not hide His own heart. Rather than plead with words that may fall on deaf ears, plead at the Mercy Seat, for God has His own ways of breaking the proud column of self-will, sometimes through a tender whisper, sometimes through a storm. The broken column memorializes those cut down in their prime, pray that this image may not be his portion, but that instead a wholesome fear may arrest him while the sunlight still shines about his feet. He that gave you this burden will sustain you. The leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing, and even the least word from Christ carries medicine for a mother’s anxious heart. The Lord Jesus knows what it is to watch those He loves walk towards danger, and His intercession is mightier than all our fears.

As for the young man whose heart lies in fragments, trampled by one who should have cherished it, let him hear this: the Healer of broken hearts chose One whose own heart was broken. Jesus Christ died of a broken heart, the spear-wound released the evidence, and so He is fitted to bind up the shattered pieces of a first love that turned cruel. Despair crouches at the door of such a cavern, eager to make its habitation in the emptiness. But this is not the end for which God permits the breaking. The bones which He breaks may yet rejoice! Not a mere ceasing of pain, not a callous scar, but a resurrection song. Bring that poor, wounded heart to the heart that was pierced, and find a love that will not abuse, a faithfulness that will not forsake. The world’s affection is a barren field; Christ’s love is a fruitful tree whose very leaves drop healing. Do not let the gangrene of bitterness enter in, submit to the Great Physician’s knife. There is a proneness in us to make “cannot” a substitute for “will not,” but the Spirit who plants the ear can unstop a deaf heart to hear the Bridegroom’s voice. Let the young man seek not merely relief, but the new heart promised in the Covenant: a heart of flesh instead of stone. Pray that the broken column of his former trust may be re-carved into a pillar in the temple of God, made whole by pardoning blood. “You must be born again” is not a harsh word to the bruised reed; it is the gate of hope. The inhabitant of Zion shall not say, “I am sick,” for the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings. Draw near, you who mourn, and let the weeping endure but a night, joy comes with that morning light which streams from the empty tomb.
