We lift our voices together in prayer for all those facing the fury of another winter storm this weekend. Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts for those enduring the second round of harsh winter weather. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 46:1 that You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We ask for Your mighty hand of protection over every home, every traveler, and every community in the path of these storms.
Lord, we pray for the safety of those who must venture out—emergency responders, utility workers, and those delivering essential supplies. Strengthen them with endurance and shield them from harm. For those without power or heat, we ask for Your supernatural warmth and provision. May they find shelter and comfort in Your presence, for You are the God who commands the winds and the waves, and nothing is too difficult for You.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that often accompanies such storms. Remind Your children that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for local leaders as they make decisions to protect their communities. May Your guidance be upon them as they seek to serve and safeguard those in their care.
We declare Your promises over this situation, Lord. You are the God who calms the storm and brings peace to the chaos. Let Your name be glorified in the midst of this trial, and may many come to know You as their Savior and refuge.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
