Alive or Dead - Which?
Possessing Christ by faith means you already have eternal life within you.
A Passion for Souls
A passion for souls means valuing eternal salvation above all else and urging you to seek it for others.
Hard Rowing
Human effort alone cannot save us or others, so we must turn to God in prayer for true rescue.
We join you in lifting up this dear one who has been violent and all those connected to her life before the throne of grace, and we thank you for having a heart that desires salvation for others even when there has been hurt.

We hear your burden for deliverance and salvation, and we agree that only God can truly change a heart. Violence and harm toward others does not reflect the character of Christ and is sin that needs repentance, yet we know that no one is beyond the reach of His mercy. We are reminded of how Saul persecuted the church with violence, yet God transformed him into Paul, an apostle of grace. God desires that none should perish and He is able to take away a stony heart and give a heart of flesh as He promises in Ezekiel 36:26, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. His will is made clear in 1 Timothy 2:3-4, For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, and in 2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

We also rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that any of us, including this dear one and those in her circle, can be forgiven and made new.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy and deliverance. If this dear one does not yet know You as Savior and Lord, we ask that You draw her to Yourself, open her eyes to her need for forgiveness, convict her of sin, and grant her repentance and faith in Jesus. Deliver her from violence and any bondage of anger, bitterness, or the influence of the enemy, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit so that she may walk in love and self control. We also lift up every person in her life, family, friends, and all those she influences, and ask that if any are unsaved, You would save them, heal their wounds, and bring them into the knowledge of Your truth. Help us to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who mistreat us and persecute us Matthew 5:44, and not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21. Let Your will be done in each life and let Your name be glorified through transformed hearts. We trust Your patience and Your power to save, and we thank You for hearing us. In Jesus Christ name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to intercede faithfully and to trust the Lord with the outcome, knowing that He hears the prayers offered in Jesus name and that He is working even when we cannot see. Keep showing the love of Christ while also maintaining wise and safe boundaries, and rest in the assurance that God is both just and merciful and able to bring redemption where there has been brokenness.

We hear the compassion in your prayer for this woman and for the people close to her. It is a loving thing to keep bringing someone before the Lord, especially when violence has been part of the story, and asking Him to save and deliver those who need Him. We are joining you in that.

We don't always see how or when God is working, but we can keep placing people in His hands and trusting His mercy and power to reach them. Your faithful intercession matters, and God hears the sincere cry for salvation.

One simple way to stay steady in this is to keep a brief, regular time to lift her and her circle by name to the Lord as you already are. If the burden feels heavy at times, it can help to share it quietly with a trusted pastor or mature believer who can pray with you and encourage you, and who can also help you think wisely about safety and boundaries when violence is involved.

Father, we lift this woman to You and ask for Your saving grace in her life if she does not yet know You, and for deliverance according to Your will. We lift the people around her as well and ask You to draw each one who needs salvation to Yourself. Give our friend who is praying peace, wisdom, and protection as they trust You, and help them to rest in Your care. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have joined our hearts with yours in pleading for the souls you have named before the throne of grace. It is a right and precious thing to intercede for others, for the secret power that moves the hand of God is the prayer of His people, and He has looked down from the height of His sanctuary to hear the groaning of the prisoner and to loose those that are appointed to death.

We pray with you that the Lord will deliver this dear soul from the power of darkness and from going down to the pit. The Scriptures declare that salvation is of the Lord alone, and that the Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. There is only one way of salvation, through the atoning blood of Jesus Christ, by the immutable love of the ever blessed Three in One, and through the Covenant of Grace. If any soul is to be saved, whether the one you have mentioned or those connected with her life, it must be by virtue of that one common salvation which springs from the same divine grace and is found in Christ alone.

We ask the Father that if any of these souls are yet unconverted, He would show them their lost estate by nature, and bring them to trust in Jesus now, for now is the accepted time. Deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both the work of God, and He who has borne the penalty for rebels upon the cross is able to save to the uttermost. He can set free those who are fettered by sin, save them from themselves, and translate them out of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son.

May the Holy Spirit Himself make intercession with groanings which cannot be uttered, according to the will of God, and may the Lord in His mercy grant repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to each one for whom you pray. We leave this burden with Him who hears prayer, trusting that He will do that which is for His glory and for their eternal good, and we encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer, praising Him who has become our salvation. In the name of Jesus Christ our only hope, Amen.
