We join you in lifting up this dear one who has been violent and all those connected to her life before the throne of grace, and we thank you for having a heart that desires salvation for others even when there has been hurt.
We hear your burden for deliverance and salvation, and we agree that only God can truly change a heart. Violence and harm toward others does not reflect the character of Christ and is sin that needs repentance, yet we know that no one is beyond the reach of His mercy. We are reminded of how Saul persecuted the church with violence, yet God transformed him into Paul, an apostle of grace. God desires that none should perish and He is able to take away a stony heart and give a heart of flesh as He promises in Ezekiel 36:26, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. His will is made clear in 1 Timothy 2:3-4, For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, and in 2 Peter 3:9, The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but he is patient with us, not wishing that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
We also rejoice that you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that any of us, including this dear one and those in her circle, can be forgiven and made new.
We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and ask for Your mercy and deliverance. If this dear one does not yet know You as Savior and Lord, we ask that You draw her to Yourself, open her eyes to her need for forgiveness, convict her of sin, and grant her repentance and faith in Jesus. Deliver her from violence and any bondage of anger, bitterness, or the influence of the enemy, and fill her with Your Holy Spirit so that she may walk in love and self control. We also lift up every person in her life, family, friends, and all those she influences, and ask that if any are unsaved, You would save them, heal their wounds, and bring them into the knowledge of Your truth. Help us to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, do good to those who hate us, and pray for those who mistreat us and persecute us Matthew 5:44, and not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good Romans 12:21. Let Your will be done in each life and let Your name be glorified through transformed hearts. We trust Your patience and Your power to save, and we thank You for hearing us. In Jesus Christ name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to continue to intercede faithfully and to trust the Lord with the outcome, knowing that He hears the prayers offered in Jesus name and that He is working even when we cannot see. Keep showing the love of Christ while also maintaining wise and safe boundaries, and rest in the assurance that God is both just and merciful and able to bring redemption where there has been brokenness.
