We join you in bringing these requests before our heavenly Father in Jesus' name and we thank you for including the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is in His name alone that we are saved, as it is written Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We hear your heart for peace and safety and for only good news, and for no more recalls, arrests, altercations, disagreements, deaths, diseases, sicknesses, executions or crimes. We share that longing, and we also want to gently encourage you with what Scripture teaches about this present world and the world to come. Because of sin entering the world, we live in a fallen creation where death, disease, sorrow and conflict are realities for now. Romans 5:12 says sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin, and so death passed to all men, because all sinned. Romans 3:23 reminds us for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Jesus Himself told us John 16:33 In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world. This does not mean we should not pray for protection and peace, we surely should, but we pray according to God's will and trust His sovereignty even when He allows difficult things for His purposes. Romans 8:28 tells us We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. And we look forward with hope to the day when God will make all things new, for Revelation 21:4 promises He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away. Until then, God has also ordained authorities to restrain evil and uphold justice, Romans 13:1-4, so arrests and consequences for crime are part of His provision for order, though we pray with you for justice to be tempered with mercy and for crime itself to be restrained as hearts are changed by the gospel.

We also understand the desire for only positive news, and we do pray for encouragement and for truth to prevail. Yet we are called to walk by faith and to have discernment in a world where negative things do happen, and to let the peace of God guard our hearts regardless of the headlines. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. 1 John 5:14 gives us confidence that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us.

We especially join you in praying for salvation for each person you mentioned, the two individuals you named by redaction, the man from last weekend, the other man, and all the people in their lives. This is the greatest need every person has, and it is the heart of God. 1 Timothy 2:3-4 says For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior; who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 2 Peter 3:9 reminds us The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. John 3:16 declares For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. Romans 6:23 tells us For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. We pray that each of them, if they have not already, would hear the gospel, repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and be saved.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We ask for Your mercy and protection over our food and drink and daily provisions, over travel and products and all things people use, that You would guard us from harm and give wisdom to those who produce and oversee these things. We ask for Your peace in our communities, that You would restrain violence and crime and bring reconciliation where there is strife, and that You would comfort those who are sick and suffering and bring healing according to Your will. We ask that justice would be done with righteousness and mercy, and that those who do wrong would be brought to repentance. Father, even as we long for a world without death and disease and sorrow, we trust Your perfect plan and we look forward to the day when You will make all things new, and we ask for strength to endure and to be lights in this present darkness. Above all, we lift up each person mentioned in this request and their families and friends, and we ask that if any of them does not yet know You, that You would draw them to Yourself, open their eyes to their need for a Savior, and grant them repentance and faith in Jesus Christ for eternal life. Work in their hearts by Your Holy Spirit and bring believers across their path to share the truth in love. Let Your will be done in all these things and let Your name be glorified. We ask this in the precious and saving name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We hear the tender heart behind your prayer, a deep longing for people to be safe and at peace, and for good news to prevail. Wanting no recalls, no violence, no sickness and no sorrow makes sense when the headlines feel heavy, and it is beautiful that your concern turns outward to pray for the salvation of those men and the people in their lives.

We live in a world where hardship and bad news still happen, and we cannot carry the weight of trying to make everything turn out perfectly. What we can do is bring each worry and each person by name to the Lord and leave them in His capable hands, trusting Him to work in ways we cannot see or control.

One thing that helps many who feel overwhelmed by the news is to give that burden a specific place. When you feel the urge to check for more headlines, try pausing to pray briefly for one of the people you named instead, entrusting them to God for that moment and then stepping away from the feed for a while.

Father, we bring these men before You, and all those connected to them, asking that You draw each one to Yourself through Jesus and show them Your mercy and grace. We ask for Your peace to guard our friend who prayed, calming an anxious heart as they trust You with what they cannot control. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest prayers have been brought before us and we join you in carrying them to the throne of grace, for it is God that writes intercession upon men's hearts and teaches us to pray.

We hear your longing for a world without recalls and without sorrow, without arrests and altercations, without sickness and death, and with only good tidings. It is a tender desire and it shows a heart that yearns for peace. Yet we must remember that we live in a world that is fallen by sin, and the Lord has not promised us in this present life that there shall be no trial or affliction. The very anxieties which arise through difficulty unfit us to meet that difficulty unless our mind is stayed upon God. The promise of Scripture is, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. That perfect peace is not found in the absence of bad news, but in the presence of Christ. In this dark world of sin the blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and even with sorrows surging round we may have rest as we do the will of Jesus. Earth's struggles shall soon cease, and then Jesus shall call His people to Heaven's perfect peace where there shall indeed be no more death nor sickness nor sorrow. Until then we pray as the Spirit helps our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, and we ask the Lord to grant mercy in these temporal things according to His wise and sovereign will, and to keep our hearts from anxious care while we trust His providence.

We rejoice especially in your prayers for the salvation of souls, for those you name from that place, and for the men you mention from last weekend and more recently, and for all the people in their lives. This is the most needful prayer of all. There is no salvation to be obtained from priests or forms and ceremonies, nor from any other name under heaven. Salvation is of the Lord alone, and beside Him there is none else. The Scripture saith, Look unto me and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth, and again, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. The way of salvation is simple and instantaneous, to look to Christ, to believe on Him, to trust Him with all the heart for present and eternal salvation. It is not a matter of trusting a creed or a system, but trusting a Person, the Lord Jesus Christ who bore our sins and made peace with God by His blood. If you desire the salvation of any, tell them as best you can what their condition is and what the way of salvation is, that they must come to Jesus and wait upon God because they cannot go anywhere else for salvation. The Holy Spirit makes intercession for the saints and works faith in the heart, and Christ Himself ever liveth to make intercession for His people.

Let us pray together. O Lord our God, we look unto Thee for salvation, for Thou art God and there is none else. Have mercy upon the souls named in this prayer and upon all those connected with them. If they have not yet looked unto Christ, grant them to see their need and to believe on Him with a true and living faith, that they may not be ashamed but may know with divine assurance that Thou hast made their peace with God. Draw them by Thy Spirit, convict them of sin and lead them to the Saviour. And for all temporal cares, we commend to Thy sovereign hand the concerns of daily life, asking that Thou wouldst keep our minds stayed upon Thee and give us that perfect peace which passeth understanding as we trust in Jesus. Hear us for His sake, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been received and we join you in lifting these burdens to our heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

We hear your longing for a world without harm, without recalls, without arrests, strife, disease, death, crime, and distressing news, and with only what is good and peaceful. That longing reflects the peace God has placed in the human heart. Scripture teaches us to pray that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, and we do pray for peace in our homes, communities, and nation, and for protection from evil and violence. At the same time we live in a fallen world where suffering and sin remain until Christ returns, and the deepest peace we need is the peace within, where the soul is no longer at war with itself through sin and fear, but is reconciled to God. We ask God to give that inner peace and to guard hearts even when outward troubles continue, trusting His wise providence in all things.

We especially join you in praying for salvation. God our Savior wills that all people should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, and there is salvation in Jesus Christ alone. He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him, because He ever lives to make intercession for them. He calls to all who labor and are heavy laden to come to Him and He will give them rest, not by merely removing outward troubles but by forgiving sin and giving new life and security in Him. We pray by name for the men you mentioned, the one from last weekend and the others known to God even where details were withheld, and for all the people in their lives, that if they have not yet trusted Christ they would hear the gospel, repent, and believe, and that believers among them would be strengthened.

So we pray: Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask for Your mercy and protection over daily life, for wisdom for those in authority, for restraint of evil, and for Your peace to rule in hearts. Above all we ask for the salvation of these men and their families and friends, that they would come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior and find rest for their souls. Work in each life according to Your perfect will, and draw all who are far off near to You through the cross. Amen.
