We join you in lifting up these souls before the Father and we are encouraged by your heart for salvation.

We thank God that you have brought these requests in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and have access to the Father. As it is written, there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12 and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We are glad you closed your prayer in His name.

We pray together for the overnight nurse and for the woman you mentioned, and for all the people in their lives. It is the Lord's desire that all would come to repentance, for He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9 and He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. We pray that if any of them have not yet believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, that God would draw them by His Spirit, open their eyes to the gospel, and grant them repentance and faith. We pray that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation Romans 10:9-10. We ask the Lord to place believers in their paths to share the good news and to give them hearts to receive it.

We also bring before the Lord the school district you mentioned that has been closed. We pray for the students, families, teachers and administrators affected, and we ask for God's will to be done concerning its reopening. We pray for wisdom for those in authority and for provision and peace for those who are waiting, trusting that God works all things for good for those who love Him Romans 8:28.

We must also speak with love and truth concerning your prayers for animals to be killed and made permanently extinct, for wild animals to lose their nature, and for lions to go extinct. We understand a desire for safety and for a world without danger or suffering, and we share your longing for a creation at peace. Yet we must gently correct this request because it does not align with what Scripture reveals about God's creation and His will.

God created every living creature and saw that it was good Genesis 1:25 and when He had finished all things He saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good Genesis 1:31. The lions and other carnivores were part of that creation. The Psalmist declares How many are your works, Yahweh. In wisdom, you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches Psalm 104:24 and The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God Psalm 104:21. God sustains them and has given them their place and their food, and He has given mankind stewardship over creation, not to seek its destruction, but to care for it. God said Let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the livestock, and over all the earth Genesis 1:26. To pray for the intentional extinction of kinds that God made is to pray against His created order.

The violence and danger in the animal kingdom, like suffering in the world, is a result of the fall and the curse upon creation, which groans and travails awaiting redemption Romans 8:22. The prophet Isaiah speaks of a future day when God Himself will bring perfect peace to creation, when The wolf will dwell with the lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the young goat and the calf and the young lion and the fattened calf together and the lion will eat straw like the ox Isaiah 11:6-7. That peace will come by the hand of the Lord when Christ reigns, not by our asking for extinction now.

So we pray instead for your heart to be aligned with God's heart for His creation, and we pray for protection and safety for people from dangerous animals, trusting that not one sparrow will fall to the ground without your Father Matthew 10:29 and how much more He watches over us. We pray that the Lord would keep people safe from harm, give wisdom to avoid danger, and help us to be faithful stewards of the animals He has made while we long for the day when creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God Romans 8:21.

Father, we lift up the nurse, the woman mentioned, and all their loved ones, and ask for their salvation if they do not yet know You. Draw them to Jesus and save them by Your grace. We lift up the school district and ask for Your will and Your provision there. Forgive us where our desires have not matched Your perfect wisdom concerning creation, and teach us to love what You have made while trusting Your sovereignty and protection. We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We appreciated hearing your heart in this prayer. Your care for an overnight nurse working hard through the night, for the people in their life, and for ### and those around her comes through so clearly. It is a beautiful thing to want others to know the hope we have in Jesus.

We join you in bringing each of them before the Lord, asking that He would draw near to them and make Himself known in a personal way, and that He would give you peace as you entrust them to Him.

We also hear your concern for the ### school district and for safety around wild animals. We understand wanting children to have a stable place to learn and wanting people and animals to be safe from harm. While God has made us stewards of His creation, we can bring our worries about safety to Him and ask for wisdom for local leaders, protection for families, and His care over all He has made.

One simple way to keep carrying these burdens is to continue praying by name for the people the Lord puts on your heart, a few at a time, and to leave the larger concerns about schools and wildlife in His hands, trusting His wisdom and timing.

Your burden for the souls of others is itself a gracious work of the Spirit, and it is to be commended. Intercessory prayer has been practiced by all the best of God's saints, and it is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for the prayer of Christ Himself is of this character. Remember also that it is exceedingly prevalent. What wonders it has wrought, and as to how many souls it has instrumentally saved, eternity shall reveal. The newly delivered soul pleads for others who are still in the deplorable condition from which grace has enabled it to escape, crying, You have brought my soul out of prison, Lord, set my fellow captives free.

I rejoice to join you in praying for the salvation of the overnight nurse you mention, and for all the people in that life, and for the one you name and the people in her life. This is a most proper and needful prayer, for our heart's desire and prayer to God for others should be that they may be saved. Let us be plain concerning the way of salvation, for salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. What is believing on Him, it is trusting in Him. Look unto Him and be saved, all the ends of the earth. It is not by our works or our worth, but by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus, without money and without price. If any for whom you pray are yet unsaved, may they be brought to see that Christ Himself is salvation, and that to look to Him in a moment with simple faith is to receive pardon through His blood. I will pray that the Lord will place His word before them, bring them under the hearing of the gospel, and grant them repentance and faith.

Concerning the school district you mention, we may bring such temporal mercies before the Lord as well. When we have done what wisdom directs, we betake ourselves to prayer, spreading our case before Him and pleading with arguments drawn from His goodness and power. We will ask the Lord to order all things for the good of the children and families there, to give wisdom to those in authority, and to open the way for that work to continue if it be according to His will.

Concerning your petitions for dangerous animals to be made extinct, for wild animals to lose their natural taste, and for lions to go extinct, I must gently instruct you as a pastor. We cannot ask God to destroy what He has made and pronounced good, nor to make extinct any part of His creation. The Lord in His sovereignty has ordered creation with wisdom, and even those creatures which seem terrible to us have their place under His dominion. The Scripture teaches us to pray for protection and deliverance from harm, and for wisdom to live safely within this fallen world, and to look forward to that day when the creation itself shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption. Rather than praying for extinction, let us pray that the Lord will keep men and women from harm, grant wisdom to those who live near danger, and give us a right stewardship over the works of His hands, trusting His wise providence over all.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come through the blood and merits of Jesus Christ alone, our only Savior. We ask in His name that You would look in mercy upon the nurse and upon the one named in this request, and upon all connected to them who are yet unsaved. Bring them to see themselves as sinners and to look unto Christ and live. Grant them faith to trust in Him and so to receive Your great salvation. We ask also for Your hand upon the school district brought before us, that Your will may be done there and that good may come to that community. Keep Your people from evil and give us trust in Your sovereign care over all creation. Cause us to pray more earnestly, habitually and fervently for the souls of others, for prayer is the most essential thing in turning sinners from the error of their ways. Your prayer has been heard and we give thanks that you have brought these needs before God with such earnestness. We join you in lifting them up, asking that our prayers be offered with holy hands without wrath and without doubting, as Scripture teaches, so that we seek mercy both for ourselves and for others.

We will pray with you for the overnight nurse and for the people in that life, and for the woman you named and for the people in her life, that if any among them have not yet received salvation, God in His mercy would draw them to Himself. There is salvation in Christ Jesus alone, with eternal glory, and He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him, because He ever lives to make intercession for them. Our hope is not in our own worthiness but in His grace, that all who are in need would hear the gospel, repent, and trust in Jesus Christ and be saved.

For the school district you mentioned, we will pray that the Lord would give wisdom to those in authority, that they would act for the true good of children, families and teachers, and that if it is according to His will and for the welfare of that community, the way would be opened for the schools to be reopened in safety and order. We ask God to provide for every student and to guide every decision with justice and care.

Concerning the requests about animals, we must speak to you as a father with love and truth. God made the whole creation and saw that it was good, and He still sustains it. The lion and other wild creatures are part of His work, and Scripture shows that they have their place in the world He governs. For this reason we cannot ask God to kill all dangerous animals or to make any kind He has made become permanently extinct, nor to remove from creatures the nature He has given them. Such a prayer comes from a spirit of wrath against creation, but prayer should not be an utterance of wrath, even as we would not thrust a sword against ourselves while seeking mercy.

Instead we can pray as is fitting for Christians, that God would protect people from harm, give wisdom to those who live and work near wild places, grant safety to the nurse who works at night and to all who travel or labor in danger, and teach us to exercise good stewardship over the earth while trusting His providence. We can ask Him to keep both people and animals from needless suffering, and to help us live peaceably and with mercy as those who have received mercy.

So let us pray together: Heavenly Father, have mercy on the nurse and on every person connected to that life, and on the woman named and all connected to her, and save all who are in need of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone. Lead them to know Your Son who died and rose and now lives to intercede for us. Grant wisdom to the leaders of that school district and provide what is best for the children and families there. Guard all people from danger and give us hearts that love what You love and seek Your will in all creation. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
