Praying in Jesus Name.
We join with you in bringing this burden before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to God and it is in no other name that we are saved. As it is written, Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. We rejoice that you have prayed in His name.
We understand your heart is asking God to remove a memory or an image of a woman that is troubling you so that you will not remember how she looks. We do not know all the details of what was between you and her, but we know that God sees and cares deeply about the purity of our minds and hearts. If this image is tied to lust, attraction outside of God's design, or to intimacy that was not within marriage, we gently and lovingly rebuke that and call you to turn from it, for God calls us to purity. We are told Everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart Matthew 5:28 and Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body 1 Corinthians 6:18. If this was a relationship that involved fornication or dwelling on a woman who is not your wife, we encourage you to repent and to seek God's forgiveness and cleansing, for He is faithful to forgive and to create in you a clean heart.
God's way is not always to simply erase a memory like deleting a file, but to renew and transform your mind so that the memory loses its power over you. We are told Be transformed by the renewing of your mind Romans 12:2 and we bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5. He promises Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me Psalm 51:10. We encourage you to make a covenant with your eyes as Job did when he said I made a covenant with my eyes, how then should I look lustfully at a young woman Job 31:1 and to pray Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things Psalm 119:37. Instead of dwelling on that image, fill your mind with what God calls pure and lovely, for Whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things Philippians 4:8.
We also want to encourage you regarding relationships. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman that honors God, and any courtship should be with the goal of finding a godly spouse who is a fellow believer in Christ, not simply a partner or a passing attraction. If you are seeking companionship, we pray God will lead you to a godly wife in His timing and will help you guard your heart until then. If this woman is someone you were involved with outside of that godly purpose, we pray for grace to release her to the Lord and to walk in holiness.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You in Jesus name. You know the image and the memory that is troubling his mind and heart. We ask You to cleanse his mind, to wash him with Your Word, and to take away the hold this memory has on him. Remove what is not of You and create in him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him. Help him to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ and to fix his eyes on what is pure and holy. Forgive any lust or sexual sin if there has been any, and cleanse him by the blood of Jesus. Fill the place where that image was with Your peace, Your presence, and Your truth. Guard his eyes and his heart, teach him to flee temptation, and lead him in the path of righteousness. If it is Your will for him to marry, prepare him to be a godly husband and prepare a godly wife for him who loves You above all. Give him strength to walk in purity and to remember that You are his portion and his healer. We trust You to renew his mind day by day and to give him freedom and victory in Christ. Your prayer for relief from a troubling memory has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you.
There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. It is written that the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even His leaves, the little things as it were about Him, are full of healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood, affect the spirits and make the nature other than it was before.
You ask that a likeness might be removed from your mind. We understand the burden of a memory that will not depart and that stirs the heart to unrest. The true healing we need is not merely the forgetting of an image, but the cleansing and renewing of the heart within. When Jesus healed the sick of the palsy He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. Pardon and healing were one. The joy of pardon makes us able to leave the sorrow of the past, and the Sun of Righteousness rises upon us with healing in His wings.
We pray that the Lord will look upon you in mercy, forgive the past through the blood of Christ alone, and by the power of the Holy Spirit change the present and the future. May He purge every evil from your mind and give you that inward healing which only He can work, for a real saving work is the work of God and God alone. May He turn your thoughts from that which troubles you to that which is pure and lovely and of good report, and fix your eyes upon Christ, that your mind may be stayed in peace.
We ask the Lord to grant you a clean heart and a right spirit, to help you walk in holiness as He has ordained, keeping the body and mind for His glory, and to give you grace to flee from whatever would ensnare the soul. Heavenly Father, I lift this dear one to You through Jesus Christ, Your Son, who alone is the way of salvation. You know the memory that weighs on this heart and the desire for relief. I ask not for a mere forgetting, but for Your healing and renewal. Wash this heart with Your mercy, forgive sin where there has been sin, and cleanse where there has been hurt. Renew the mind according to Your Word, give power to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and fill the thoughts that now cause pain with Your truth, Your peace, and Your love. Where there has been a relationship outside of Your good design for lifelong marriage between one man and one woman, grant repentance, purity, and strength to walk in holiness. Where there is sorrow or temptation, grant comfort and self control. Let Your Holy Spirit be the Comforter and helper who brings to remembrance what is good and leads into all truth. Make this one whole in Christ, able to remember the past without being ruled by it, and to look forward with hope.
