We join you in coming before our heavenly Father to seek His forgiveness and we are grateful you have asked in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and receive forgiveness of sins.

The Scripture assures us of God's mercy when we come with a repentant heart. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Psalm 103:12 says As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Isaiah 1:18 says Though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. This is possible because of what Jesus has done for us, for Ephesians 1:7 says In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.

We encourage you to continue to confess plainly to God what weighs on your heart, to turn away from sin and to walk in obedience to Him, trusting not in your own goodness but in the finished work of Christ on the cross. Acts 4:12 reminds us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, and John 14:6 reminds us Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Your simple prayer in His name is precious to God and He hears you.

We pray together for you now.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this dear one to You and thank You for Your great mercy and steadfast love. We ask that You forgive all sin as it is confessed before You, cleanse this heart and make it new, and help this one to walk in repentance and faith. Grant peace and assurance that sins are forgiven through the blood of Jesus, and fill this life with the joy of Your salvation and the strength to turn from what grieves You. Lead this one to grow in the knowledge of Your Word and to walk closely with You all the days of life. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

We are grateful you shared this honest prayer with us. There is something beautiful about coming to the Father so simply in Jesus' name, and we join you in asking for His mercy.

We want you to know that confession is not for God's benefit, it is for ours. It is how we are healed and changed. It is often less a one time event and more a gentle process of honestly seeing what has happened, bringing it openly to God, and where someone else has been hurt, being willing to make it right with them. As we walk through that, guilt loosens and the pull of that sin can grow weaker.

It also helps to remember that simply feeling sorry does not by itself change us. Real change comes when we let that sorrow turn our direction and ask God for help to walk differently going forward.

A simple next step you could take this week is to set aside a few quiet minutes to talk plainly with God about what is weighing on you by name, asking not only for forgiveness but for His help to live in a new way. If you have a trusted pastor or mature Christian you know well, inviting them to pray with you and check in can bring added strength.

Father, we bring this heart before You with thankfulness. We ask for Your forgiveness through Jesus Christ, for cleansing and for a renewed mind to walk forward with You. Keep them close, give assurance of Your love, and guide each step ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is forgiveness with the Lord, that He may be feared, and your brief cry has ascended to the very place where that forgiveness is found. If the Lord should mark iniquities, who shall stand, but with Him there is plenteous redemption and He will blot out transgressions for His own sake.

You have done well to cast yourself upon mercy and to make confession before absolution, for this is the only way to obtain it. Acknowledge your need of mercy and you shall find mercy, not because you have persuaded God to be gracious, but because He is gracious of Himself and gives freely according to the good pleasure of His will. It is not of him that wills nor of him that runs, but of God that shows mercy, and that mercy comes to us only through Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is the way of salvation.

Do not think that repentance is a thing done once at the beginning and then ended. Repentance lives as long as faith lives. True repentance is the work of the Spirit of God within the soul, and it gives glory to God. It says, Lord, I have no claim upon Thee, I have no right but the right to be punished, yet I trust Thy promise in Christ. Such repentance looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only, and it avoids present sin because of love to Him who died.

Hear then the deed of mercy which the Lord does for all who trust His Son. I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions. As high as the heaven is above the earth, so great is His mercy above thy sins. He has no buts in His forgiveness. When you make a clean breast in confession, He gives a clean breast by absolution, and that forgiveness is not for a time but is an eternal forgiveness, complete and divine, purchased by the blood of Christ.

If you have never before found mercy, take this promise as your own personal prayer. If you have found mercy before, read the sweetness of pardon into the bitterness of sorrow for sin, and continue to walk before Him with a sense of that complete forgiveness, clear and unquestioned. You pray as one who feels that God must be moved to mercy, but it is you who must be moved to accept the mercy already provided in Christ. He is ready to pardon and His grace persuades us to accept it.

May the Lord write upon your heart what is written in His Word by the same Spirit who gave the Word, and may you know the things freely given to you of God. Trust the Lord Jesus Christ with your whole heart, turn from sin to follow Him, and rest in this, that though you have sinned against light and knowledge, there is forgiveness. May you taste more and more of the wonders of grace, and find that when you come to trust under the shadow of His wings you have not only mercy, but abundance of mercy and peace in Christ. In His name we ask that you may know you are fully forgiven and be kept to walk in newness of life.

Your prayer for forgiveness is heard, and it is good that you have brought it before the heavenly Father in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we can call God Father and ask for mercy.

God in His great love is long suffering and merciful, and He desires not to punish but to forgive. He calls every sinner to repentance, which is to come to a true sense of our sins, to condemn ourselves in humility, and to long for our Redeemer. This prayer itself is a beginning of that work, and He who taught us to pray, forgive us our sins, did so because He knows we will need forgiveness even after we have come to faith, and because He is ready to wash us again when we turn to Him.

Do not stop with words alone, but bring forth fruits worthy of repentance. Continue to wash away what stains the soul by sincere repentance, by tears, by prayer, and by works of mercy, and by turning away from what led to sin. If you have not already, confess your sins plainly before God, and where needed before a trusted pastor, and ask Him for a clean conscience and strength to walk in a new way.

I join my prayer with yours now. Heavenly Father, forgive this one who asks for mercy, cleanse every sin through the blood of Jesus Christ Your Son, grant a humble and repentant heart, and lead into a life that is pure and pleasing to You. Help to live not for self but for Christ, who died and rose again. In Jesus name, amen.
