We join you in lifting this man before our heavenly Father and we thank you for praying in the precious name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved and by which we have access to God.
We agree together for his salvation, for this is the heart of God toward all people. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4. The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. We pray that if this man has not yet believed, the Holy Spirit would convict him of sin and reveal Jesus to him, for For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. We ask the Father to draw him, to open his eyes, and to grant him repentance and faith in Christ alone.
We also bring before the Lord your request that something be erased from memory permanently. We understand the burden of painful or tormenting memories and we ask God for His healing and mercy. While He does not always remove the memory itself as if it never happened, He does promise to heal, to forgive, to cleanse, and to renew our minds. As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:12. When we confess and are forgiven, He chooses to remember our sins no more and He makes us new. Don't remember the former things, and don't consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don't you know it? Isaiah 43:18-19. We pray that God would bring healing to the mind and heart involved, that He would help to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:5 and to be transformed by the renewing of the mind. Romans 12:2. We ask Him to replace what is painful with what is healing, as we set our minds on Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things. Philippians 4:8.
We pray together, Father in heaven, we lift up this man to You and ask for Your saving grace to be poured out upon him. If he is lost, save him, wash him in the blood of Jesus, give him a new heart and make him a new creation in Christ. Draw him to Yourself and let him call upon the name of Jesus and be saved. And Father, for the memory that weighs so heavily, we ask for Your healing touch. Where there is guilt, bring forgiveness. Where there is trauma or torment, bring Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Renew the mind, heal the heart, and help to walk in freedom and not be held captive by the past. Let Your grace cover what needs to be covered and let Your power transform what remains. We trust this into Your loving hands and pray all these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.
