We join you in this prayer and we thank you for bringing this honest request before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ. We understand the struggle to avoid platforms like LinkedIn and TikTok which can so easily consume our time, stir up comparison and envy, and set worthless things before our eyes.
We are reminded of what Scripture teaches about guarding our hearts and redeeming the time God has given us. We are called to look carefully how we walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time because the days are evil in Ephesians 5:15-16. We are also called to set no vile thing before our eyes in Psalm 101:3 and to guard our heart with all diligence for out of it is the wellspring of life in Proverbs 4:23. Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good report, we are to think on these things in Philippians 4:8. TikTok and even LinkedIn can often pull us away from these things into endless scrolling, vanity, comparison, and distraction, and God desires that we not be mastered by anything but that we walk in self control which is fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23.

Heavenly Father we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. We ask that You grant strength and self control to turn away from LinkedIn and TikTok and from the temptation to return to them. We pray that You help to make a way of escape when temptation comes as You have promised in 1 Corinthians 10:13, and that You fill the time and the heart with what is pleasing to You. Help to fix eyes on Jesus and to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness in Matthew 6:33. Renew the mind so as not to be conformed to this world but transformed in Romans 12:2, and let Your Word and Your presence become the greater desire. Give peace from comparison and freedom from the need for validation from others, knowing our identity and worth are in Christ alone. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Consider removing the apps from your phone, setting boundaries with website blockers, and bringing another Christian believer into accountability with you, for we are to bear one another's burdens in Galatians 6:2. Replace the habit with prayer, reading Scripture, and wholesome fellowship or work that glorifies God. When the urge comes, turn immediately to prayer or to the Word. God is faithful and He will strengthen you as you choose to honor Him with your time and attention.

Your honest prayer to be kept from snares is itself a gracious sign that the Lord is working in you, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.
You have done well to pray, Lead us not into temptation, for that prayer breathes a humble self distrust which shrinks from the conflict. Temptation in itself is a dangerous thing, and though God may bring great benefit out of our trials, we are taught not to desire to be tried, but to pray that we may be spared from too great trials lest they overcome our patience and faith. There is courage in looking temptation in the face and dreading only the evil which it may work in us.
Remember also that he who prays Lead us not into temptation and then goes into it willingly is not true before God. If LinkedIn and TikTok have been to you a place of vanity, of restless comparison, of wasted hours or unholy images and speech, then to avoid them is wisdom. Do not put yourself again upon the pinnacle where the enemy may whisper, Cast yourself down. Turn from the occasion of sin as a man would turn from a precipice.
This will not be done by self strength, for without Christ we can do nothing, not even the least act of piety. Every particle of self reliance is but poison in the veins. Your prayer confesses this, that you cannot keep yourself. Christ is not a distant figure who lived long ago, but He is alive and our familiar Friend, and He gives power to overcome. Look to Him for all things, and cultivate that self loathing for sin and self distrust which makes a man watchful and prayerful.
May the Lord grant you grace to keep this resolve. Put away the apps and the easy access, fill the redeemed time with profitable labor, with the Word, with prayer and with service to others, and ask the Lord to keep you by His own power. When the desire returns, go again to Him at once and say, Lord, keep me, for I cannot keep myself.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in asking the Father for help in this struggle.
It is good that you desire moderation and self control, and God is faithful to help you. Scripture says there has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man, and God will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able to bear, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, so that you may be able to endure it. When you feel drawn back to LinkedIn and TikTok, that way of escape is there, and He will give you patience and strength to take it.
We pray that the Lord will give you a sober mind and a ready heart to pursue what is best, not only for a reward but out of love for Him. May He help you to turn from what perishes and feeds distraction, and to labor instead for what endures to everlasting life. May He fill your time and attention with what is good and profitable, and make you steadfast when you feel pulled toward what would make your soul feeble and vain.
