We join you in this prayer before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for coming to Him in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Jesus that we have access to the throne of grace.
We understand how a song title or lyric can linger in the mind and become a distraction or even a burden, and we know our Father cares about even the smallest cares that weigh on our hearts. We take comfort that He invites us to cast all our cares upon Him.
Scripture encourages us to be intentional about what we dwell on, as it says, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things Philippians 4:8. We are also taught not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind Romans 12:2, and to be bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this request to You. Lord, You know the song title that is lingering in memory and the desire to be free from it. We ask in Jesus name that You would gently remove it from remembrance and bring peace to the mind. Wash away what is distracting or unhelpful and fill that space with Your peace and Your truth. Help us to keep our minds stayed on You, for You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you Isaiah 26:3. Let our thoughts be set on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth Colossians 3:2, and let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our heart be acceptable in Your sight Psalm 19:14. Replace what we ask to forget with songs and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody in our heart to You Ephesians 5:19, and with Your Word hidden in our heart. We thank You for Your mercy and for hearing our prayer. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join with you in bringing it before the Lord who hears even the quiet desires of the heart.
You ask that the title of a song might be taken from your memory, and this is a need the Lord understands. The mind itself can be the lair of misery or the nest of happiness, and intruding thoughts do surround us like a plague of flies, here, there and everywhere. It costs great pains to drive them away, and in our weakness we cannot do it alone. Yet the Lord is reading your thoughts even now, and His ear is so quick that He can hear your groaning out of the very deeps.
The Psalmist teaches us to hate vain thoughts and to love God's law, and to find how precious also are His thoughts unto us, O God, how great is the sum of them. When our minds are crowded with a multitude of restless thoughts, His comforts can still delight our souls. He does not merely remove what troubles us, He renews our strength and gives us fresh thoughts to fill the place where the vain ones once lodged. Let us ask Him then not only to take away what clings to the memory, but to give in its place many believing thoughts and longing thoughts after Christ, that you may be still with Him even when you awake.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, wisdom, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. God, bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. The mind can hold fast to things we wish to forget, and God understands how a song or phrase can linger and distract us. Scripture calls us to fix our thoughts on what is true and pure and to let Christ renew our minds, and He is able to give peace and cleanse our thoughts as we turn to Him.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. You know the heart of the one who prayed and the desire to have this song title removed from memory. We ask that You grant quietness of mind and take away what is unwanted and unhelpful. Fill this mind instead with Your truth, Your Word, and thoughts that honor You. Help to dwell on whatever is true, noble, right, pure and praiseworthy, and guard the heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give strength to turn away from what distracts and to choose what builds up faith. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
