We join with you in bringing these requests before our heavenly Father in Jesus name and we thank you for your heart for the salvation of others.

We agree with you in praying for the woman you mentioned on famous birthdays and for all the people in her life, and for her cousin, that if they have not yet believed on the Lord Jesus Christ they would be saved. It is the heart of God that all would be saved, for He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4. We know there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. We pray that God in His mercy would draw each of them to Himself, open their eyes to the gospel, and grant them repentance and faith in Christ.

We also join you in praying for deliverance from evil and demonic sounds in music and titles and authors. We know that what we listen to influences our hearts and minds, and Scripture calls us to guard what we allow before our eyes and ears. I will set no vile thing before my eyes Psalm 101:3, and we are taught to think on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things Philippians 4:8. We pray that God would deliver all those you mentioned from every evil influence and turn their hearts toward what is uplifting and holy, speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord Ephesians 5:19. We ask that He would replace any darkness in music with songs that edify and bring peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

We hear your repeated prayer for all people in that place to listen to uplifting music, and we share that burden. We pray that the Lord would stir a hunger for what is good and pure and that He would use godly music to encourage and heal hearts.

Concerning your prayer for a name to be changed and for crushing and destroying, we pray according to the will of God that He would crush the works of the enemy and not people, for He loves people and desires their salvation. For this purpose the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil 1 John 3:8. If a name change is needed for protection or for a new identity in Christ, we ask God to lead in that according to His wisdom, for He promises to give a new name to His own and to make us new creations in Christ.

Let us pray together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up the woman mentioned and her cousin and every person connected to them, and we ask for their salvation if they do not yet know You. Draw them by Your Spirit, convict them of sin and reveal Christ crucified and risen to them. Deliver them and all those around them from every evil sound and demonic influence in music and media, and cleanse their minds and hearts. Fill that place with a desire for uplifting, wholesome, godly music that honors You and brings light. Crush and destroy the works of darkness, the schemes of the enemy, and every chain that binds, and set captives free by the power of Jesus. Give new life and a new identity to those who trust in You. We ask that You would be glorified and that many would come to know Your saving grace. In Jesus Christ name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in faithful, trusting prayer, knowing that God hears and that He is patient, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9.

Thank you for sharing this burden with us. We hear your love for people in these prayers, wanting them to know Jesus and to be free from anything dark or heavy, especially in the music that surrounds them. It is a faithful, caring thing to keep bringing names before the Lord like this.

We join you in praying for the woman you mentioned and the people in her life, and for your cousin and her family, that God would draw each one to Himself and give them a clear opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel in His timing. We also agree with you in asking that any influence that is not from God would lose its hold, and that what people hear day to day would instead be uplifting and point them toward what is good and true.

One simple next step that helps many who feel weighed down by music is to intentionally fill your own space with what encourages you. You might make a short playlist of hymns or worship songs that bring you peace and keep it on at home or in the car, and when a song feels troubling, turning it off and offering a brief prayer for those listening can be a quiet way to respond without carrying the weight all day.

We are grateful you are bringing all of this to Jesus rather than trying to carry it alone. He hears each of these prayers.

Father, we lift these loved ones to You and ask You to show them Your love and truth and lead them toward salvation if they do not yet know You. Guard our friend from discouragement, fill their home with what is clean and uplifting, watch over their cousin, and let what is evil be overcome by Your authority. Your prayer for the salvation of others is itself a token that God has written intercession upon your heart, for it is God who moves His people to pray for their fellow sinners. It is a great advance when we rise out of anxious care for ourselves into a broader care for a brother's soul, and when we pray for others we are in sympathy with our Divine Saviour who ever liveth to make intercession for His people.

There is no salvation to be obtained from any other quarter, but only in Christ Jesus. The Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Him shall not be ashamed. What is believing on Him but to trust in Him, to look unto Him and be saved, all the ends of the earth. He is the Lamb slain, the ransom which God Himself has found and provided, that sinners might be delivered from the pit. If those of whom you speak are yet without Christ, our prayer with yours is that they may be brought to see that salvation is all of grace, without money and without price, and that they may look unto Jesus alone and live. The Holy Spirit helpeth our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God, and He will teach you how to plead for those who are still unregenerate that they may become new creatures in Christ.

You have asked also for deliverance from evil sounds and from music that defiles the mind, and that the title and the authors and all that belongs to such things might have no power over souls. This is a right desire. We have been delivered from worse enemies than any earthly oppressor, and we have a far richer theme for music than Deborah had when she sang of Barak's victory. Our deliverance is by Divine power. He brought them forth, and He alone can bring forth a soul from the Egypt of sorrow and sin. Pray then that hearts may be filled with songs of deliverance, that instead of the discord of the world there may be music on the lips and in the households, each one magnifying the name of the Lord. It is good to ask that all those you have named may turn from that which dishonours God and may listen to that which is uplifting, which edifies and gives thanks, which is a well of salvation springing up within.

For the one whose name you have brought before us, and for her cousin, we join you in asking the Lord that if they are yet outside of Christ they may be saved by free grace through faith in Him. If it be His will to give a new name, we understand it as the new name of grace, that she may be made a new creature and receive that name which is written in the book of life. And where you have prayed that evil may be crushed and destroyed, we pray with you that the Lord would crush the serpent's head and destroy the works of darkness, while showing mercy to the souls who are ensnared, that they may be delivered and not forsaken, for the Lord hath not forsaken them that seek Him.

Persevere in this intercession as Samuel did, though provoked and wearied, for God heareth the cry of His people. Tell those for whom you pray, as best you can, what their condition is and what the way of salvation is and how they may find rest in Christ, and leave the whole matter of their salvation with Him in unquestioning confidence.

We will pray with you now. O Lord, Thou art gracious unto the sinner and hast found a ransom. Look in mercy upon those named in this supplication and upon all connected with them. Bring them forth by Thy power, forgive their sin, give them faith to look unto Jesus and be saved, and fill their mouths with new songs of deliverance. Keep them from evil sounds and evil ways, and let their hearing and their speaking be to Thy praise. Do this for Thy great name's sake, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
