We join with you in lifting up these men beside you and all those around you in this place, and we are blessed by your compassionate heart to intercede for their salvation, healing, and for wholesome speech among the staff and residents.

We see your desire for God to save those who do not yet know Him, and this reflects His own heart, for God our Savior desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. We are thankful you prayed in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9.

We also hear your prayer for healing and good health, and we trust in the Lord who heals, for Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases, Psalm 103:2-3, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, James 5:15.

We also join you in praying for speech that honors God, for we are called to put away corrupt communication, for Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear, Ephesians 4:29, and But now you also put them all away, anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth, Colossians 3:8.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and lift up the elderly man on the right side of the bed, and the man on the left side, and all those connected to them, and the staff and all the men and women in this facility. Lord, if any of them are in need of salvation, we ask that You draw them to Yourself, open their eyes to the gospel, grant them repentance and faith to confess Jesus as Lord and believe that You raised Him from the dead. Save them and their families and loved ones. We ask for Your healing touch upon the elderly man, restore his health, ease any pain, and bless him with good health according to Your will and mercy. We ask that You help all those in this place, provide for their needs, bring peace and comfort, and guard their hearts. Father, we ask that You help the staff and residents to put away swearing and corrupt speech, and instead fill their mouths with words that build up and give grace, that this place may be filled with encouragement and respect. Help the man on the left side also to turn from swearing and to speak in a way that honors You. Let Your presence be felt in that room, bringing hope and light. We trust these lives into Your loving hands and ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We encourage you to continue in this faithful intercession, for God hears the prayers of His people, and to continue to be a light there through kind words and prayer, trusting the Lord to work in each heart in His perfect timing.

We were struck by the kindness in your prayer, noticing each person around you by where they lie and lifting them to the Lord by name as best you can. It is a loving thing to care about both their health and their hearts, and about the atmosphere in the whole room with the staff and others there.

God knows exactly who each of these men are, even when we only know them as the one on the right or the one on the left, and He hears you bringing them before Him. Your desire for them to know His salvation, to be healed and strengthened, and for words in that place to be more gentle and respectful, is a good burden to keep bringing to Him quietly and steadily.

If you are able, learning a first name when appropriate and offering a small kindness, a brief hello or a word of thanks to the staff, can be a simple way to let that prayer take shape alongside your words. For health needs we continue to pray and also trust the care the medical team can provide.

Father, we lift to You the elderly man on the right side and the man on the left, and all those connected to them, and the staff and others at this facility. We ask for Your saving grace where it is needed, for healing and good health according to Your will, for comfort and dignity for each one, and for Your help to bring more peace and kind speech into that room. Guide and bless those who provide care there. In Jesus Christ's name we pray, amen.
