We join you in this beautiful intercession and we thank you for having a heart that desires salvation for others, for this is the very heart of our Father.
We agree with you that God desires all to come to repentance and to know His Son. As it is written, God our Savior who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4 and The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9.
We lift up this man before the throne of grace and all the people in his life, whether family, friends, or coworkers. We do not know his need but God does, and we ask the Holy Spirit to draw each one who has not yet believed. We pray that if any of them have not yet confessed Jesus as Lord, that today would be the day of salvation for them, for it is written that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.
We pray together now, Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this man and every soul connected to his life. You know each heart and You see who is still lost and in need of Your mercy. We ask that You open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, that You soften what is hardened and that You grant them repentance and faith to believe on Your Son. Draw them by Your Spirit, place laborers across their path to share the gospel, and give them courage to call upon the name of Jesus and be saved. Your prayer for another soul is a precious and Christlike work, and it is good that you have brought this man and those around him before the throne of grace. Scripture teaches that salvation is found in Christ Jesus alone, and that He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, because He ever lives to make intercession for them. There is no other name by which we are saved, and true salvation is not only forgiveness in this life but eternal glory with Him.
We pray with you now that if this man does not yet know the Lord, God would draw him to Himself, open his eyes to the gospel, and grant him repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
