Beloved of All
We join you in prayer before our heavenly Father and thank you for bringing these needs before Him.
We ask the Lord to have mercy on the republican you mentioned, on the swimmer, on the employee, and on all the people in their lives. If any of them are still outside of Christ, we pray that God would draw them to Himself and grant them repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other. Scripture teaches that He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to God by Him, because He ever lives to make intercession for them. We pray that they may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
We also pray for you as you bring these requests. God is faithful, and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you can bear, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape that you may be able to endure it. When harmful images, videos and shows press upon the mind, He gives strength to turn away and to seek refuge in Him. We ask Him to remove what is unprofitable and to guard your heart and eyes, and to help you walk in moderation and purity, keeping your mind stayed on what is good and wholesome.
We encourage you to persevere in prayer. Even when an answer seems delayed, the Lord uses that waiting to draw us closer to Himself, as a loving father draws his children to his arms. Continue to flee to Him and to abide with Him, trusting His goodness and His timing. He has shown His love most clearly in the cross, where Christ was led as a sheep to the slaughter for our freedom, and by that price we belong to Him.
We pray that the Lord would strengthen you in tribulation, establish you in His grace, and fill you with confidence and hope in Christ. May He grant salvation to those you have named, keep you from what would lead you astray, and lead you in His will.
