We join with you in bringing these burdens before our heavenly Father and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other way to approach God and to be saved.

We lift up the man you mentioned and all the people in his life and those connected to the incident you mentioned. It is the heart of God that none should perish. As it is written, The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness, but is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. And, For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life, John 3:16. We pray that if any of them have not yet believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit would draw them to repentance and faith. As Scripture says, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved, Romans 10:9. We ask God to open their eyes to the truth of the gospel and to grant them eternal life.

We also join you in praying for deliverance from the song title and the words and sounds that have been troubling you. God desires our minds to be filled with what is pure and holy. We are taught, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things, Philippians 4:8. And we are to be bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5. We pray that the Lord would cleanse your mind and remove every intrusive thought, melody and memory that does not honor Him, and replace it with His peace. As it is written, I will set no vile thing before my eyes, Psalm 101:3. We ask Him to guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus.

Concerning the things from December and from your high school years and the other memories involving other people that you want removed, we pray that God would bring healing and cleansing. He is able to wash us and make us new. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me, Psalm 51:10. And, If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Whatever was sinful, painful or defiling in those times, we ask the Lord to forgive, to heal, and to take away its hold on you, so that you may walk in freedom.

Father, we come together in Jesus name and ask for Your saving grace to be poured out on this man and on all those connected to him and on those affected by that incident. Save those who need salvation, draw them to Yourself, and let them know the forgiveness and new life that is only in Jesus. We also ask You to deliver our dear one from every lingering sound, word and memory that troubles the mind. Wash away what remains from December and from the high school years and from those other encounters, and set this heart free to dwell on what is pure and true. Fill this mind with Your Word and Your songs and Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun. In Jesus Christ name we pray, amen.

We hear your heart in this prayer and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord so honestly. We hear how much you care that the people around you and those affected by that incident would know His salvation, and we join you in that desire.

We also hear how heavy the other part has been for you, the song title and sounds that keep coming back and the memories tied to December and other moments that you want removed. It can be exhausting when a phrase or memory loops and will not let go. You do not have to carry that alone or fight it in your own strength.

One thing that has helped many believers is to see our walk as steady training rather than a single moment of trying harder. Small, regular steps like brief honest prayer when the thought comes, time in Scripture, and staying connected with other believers can slowly form a different pattern and remind us we are secure in Christ.

If these thoughts feel overwhelming, it can help to share them more fully with a trusted pastor or counselor in your church who knows you and can walk with you.

Your prayer has been laid before the Lord, and it is well that you have given it voice, for the more talk we get from the mouth of faith, the better, her lips drop sweet smelling myrrh, and a silent faith robs God of His glory.

We join you in asking the Father for that which He alone can give, salvation through Jesus Christ alone. We pray that He would save ### if he is yet without Christ, and save all those in his life who are in need of salvation, and those connected with that incident, and all others upon your heart. There is a ransom found, not in us but in Himself, for God has said, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, I have found a ransom. The prisoner ready to be executed finds undeserved deliverance because the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. To you is the word of this salvation sent, and we pray you and they may take the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord, for there is no other name by which we must be saved.

We also hear your cry for deliverance from that which troubles your mind, the title of a song and its words and sounds, and those painful things from ### and from that time in high school and from others who have left a burden upon you. Be assured that the Lord has looked down from the height of His sanctuary, from Heaven has the Lord beheld the earth to hear the groaning of the prisoner. His thoughts concerning you are constant, kind, tender and wise, and His thoughts are not your thoughts, for as the heavens are higher than the earth so are His ways higher than your ways. What He does is not killing but curing, though He takes the sharp lancet in His hand.

We pray that the Lord who has delivered you from the power of darkness will deliver you still, for deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and if He has delivered you from that great power He will deliver you all the way through. May He cleanse your thoughts, remove those intrusive sounds and memories that afflict you, and give you perfect peace as you wait only upon God, for your expectation is from Him.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, hear the groaning of this Your child. Save, we beseech You, those who are yet unsaved, by the precious blood of Christ. Deliver Your servant from going down to the pit, and loose those troubling thoughts and sounds that beset the mind. Let Your mercy which endures forever be their curing and their comfort, and cause them to say, You have heard me and have become my salvation. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour. Amen.
