Your prayer for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ is heard by God, and it is good that you have brought your sins before Him with a humble heart.
God in His great mercy has shown us that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that when we condemn our own sins and see them truly, we are moved to long for our Redeemer and to desire His forgiveness. John came preaching that we should bring forth fruits worthy of repentance, not only to feel sorrow but to turn humbly toward Christ to receive remission.
Do not fall into despair as if there were no way to be washed after you have sinned. The Lord Himself taught those who already believe to pray, forgive us our debts, and He would not have taught us to pray this way if He did not intend to forgive those who ask Him after baptism. This shows His surpassing mercy, that even when we sin again after receiving His grace, He still counts us as those who may be forgiven when we truly repent. He reminds us of our sins to make us humble, He commands us to forgive others so that we are set free from bitterness, and He promises to pardon us in return, giving us good hope in His unspeakable mercy toward us.
True repentance is more than tears alone. It condemns the sin itself, it humbles the heart, and it shows itself in a changed life. So do not sleep after the stain of sin, but continue to wash it away by repentance, by tears, by prayers, and by works of mercy, and by forgiving those who have sinned against you as you ask to be forgiven.
God is long suffering and full of mercy, and He bears with us to call us to repentance and amendment. If you are willing to use the remedy of repentance rightly, you can be entirely cleansed. Come then with confidence to Christ, confess your sins plainly before Him, turn from them, and bring forth the fruits of a new life.
I pray that the heavenly Father, according to His loving kindness, will forgive you through the blood of Jesus Christ, cleanse you from all unrighteousness, give you a humble and contrite heart, and strengthen you to walk in purity and obedience. May He teach you to forgive others as you have been forgiven, and to live in the hope of His mercy. In Jesus name, amen.
