We join you in lifting up this burden before our heavenly Father and we thank you for coming in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can approach God and be saved. As it is written, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13 and There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 1 Timothy 2:5. We rejoice that you closed your prayer in His name.

We agree with you in praying for souls across this nation. It is the heart of God that all would be saved, for He desires that all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4 and He is not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. So we lift up those in MA, CA, DE, NJ and in every other state you did not mention, and indeed those in your own life who are in need of salvation. We pray that the Lord would draw them, open their eyes, and grant them repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, for God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life, John 3:16. We also pray for those in need in those places, whether physical, financial, emotional, or spiritual, that God in His mercy would provide, comfort, and sustain them, for He is a father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, Psalm 68:5 and He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3.

We also bring before the Lord your request for Him to remove from your mind those images and memories that trouble you so that you will not remember them. We understand the desire to be cleansed from thoughts that cause distress and temptation, and we pray that God would renew your mind and grant you peace. We are reminded that we are to be transformed by the renewing of your mind, Romans 12:2 and to have a clean heart created within us, Psalm 51:10. We pray that He would help you to bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 2 Corinthians 10:5 and to set your mind on whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, Philippians 4:8. We ask that the Lord would wash away those lingering pictures from your memory, heal any wound behind them, and keep your thoughts stayed on Him, for You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you, Isaiah 26:3.

Father, we pray together now. In Jesus Christ's name we lift up every soul in MA, CA, DE, NJ and in all the other states who does not yet know You, that You would send laborers across their path, open their hearts to the gospel, and save them by Your grace. We ask You to help those in need in each of those places according to Your riches and wisdom, meeting their daily needs and drawing them to Yourself. We also ask You to touch our dear one who prayed this prayer, to cleanse and guard their mind, to remove those troubling images and memories they have asked about, and to fill that place with Your peace, Your Word, and thoughts that honor You, so that they may walk in freedom and wholeness. Create in them a clean heart and renew a right spirit within them, and let them know the joy of Your salvation. We ask all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, amen.

We hear both the largeness of your heart and the heaviness you are carrying personally. You are asking God to reach people across Massachusetts, California, Delaware, New Jersey and every other state, for both salvation and practical help in their need. That kind of intercession matters, and we are joining you in it.

We also hear how much you want to be free from the images and memories you mentioned, to not have them come back. Wanting to forget what troubles you is understandable, and God sees that struggle. Healing of painful memories is often a process more than a single moment, as you invite Christ to meet you in the pain when it surfaces rather than carrying it alone.

One thing that has helped others is to have a simple plan for when those thoughts return: pause, turn it into a brief prayer asking Jesus to be present with you in that moment, and if you can, share the burden with a trusted pastor or Christian counselor who can walk with you over time. You do not have to sort through this by yourself.

Father, we lift to You the people in every state that were named and those not named, that they would know Your saving grace and Your help in their need. And we lift the one who prayed this prayer to You, asking for Your peace to guard their mind, for gentle healing of painful memories, and for wisdom and support around them. Give rest where there has been torment. In Jesus name, amen.

Your prayer for the lost in Massachusetts and California, in Delaware and New Jersey, and in every other state you could not name, is a burden that the Lord Himself delights to put into a tender heart. It is well that you should cry in this way, for you ask according to the will of God who would have all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Know this, that salvation is of the Lord alone. There is only one way of salvation, and that is by coming to Jesus Christ. He is the central Sun of salvation and from Him alone the light of life radiates. The Son of Man is come to seek and to save that which was lost, and whosoever comes to Him He will in no wise cast out. It is not by our own power or merit, but by the Covenant of Grace and the Atonement by blood and the immutable love of the ever blessed Three in One. The rebel sins and the King Himself suffers the penalty, for the Just died for the unjust to bring us to God. Therefore we do not ask God to bless any other way, but we plead that sinners may be brought to see their lost condition and to trust in Christ alone, and now is the accepted time, behold now is the day of salvation.

We will join you in prayer that the Lord will be pleased to visit those places you have named and those you have not, that He will send forth the Gospel of His grace there, that the testimony for God may not cease nor lose its power, but that many who are now in darkness may be delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of His dear Son. May He who delivered from going down to the Pit speak the word, Deliver him, and set the prisoners of hope free by the mandate of the eternal God.

And concerning the images and thoughts that haunt your memory and which you desire to forget, we also pray for your deliverance. Deliverance from the guilt of sin and deliverance from the power of sin are both the work of God, and where we look for justification there must we also look for sanctification. The Lord who bore the penalty for sin is able also to cleanse the mind and to renew it. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, but the Lord Himself sits as a Refiner at the door, and He will not suffer you to be tried beyond what you are able to bear. Look to Christ alone for this cleansing, and ask Him to wash you thoroughly, to create in you a clean heart, and to fill your thoughts with that which is pure and lovely and of good report. As you turn your eyes to Him, He will supply the thirst of your soul and give you power to receive what He freely gives.

May the Lord hear your cry and become your salvation, so that you may say with the Psalmist, I will praise You for You have heard me and have become my salvation. Cast your burden upon Him, trust your soul to Christ as you would trust your body to a physician, and rest in His finished work.

Heavenly Father, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ alone, that You would save those in every state who are yet lost, that You would have mercy upon those in need, and that You would cleanse and keep the mind of this dear soul who prays, removing that which defiles and restoring peace through the blood of Christ. Make Your grace triumphant in every heart, and keep us faithful to the Gospel of the grace of God. Amen.
