We lift up this heartfelt prayer to our Heavenly Father, who desires that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). It is beautiful to see a heart that intercedes for the salvation of others, for we know that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved than the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12).
Father, we join with this prayer in asking You to draw near to those who do not yet know You. We pray for the man or woman who may be lost in sin, that Your Holy Spirit would convict them of their need for a Savior. Soften their hearts, Lord, and open their eyes to the truth of Your Word. Let them see their need for Jesus, who came to seek and to save the lost (Luke 19:10). We pray that they would turn from their sins, repent, and place their faith in Christ alone for salvation.
We also lift up any group of people, whether a family, a community, or a nation, that does not yet know You. Lord, we ask that You would move powerfully among them, breaking down the strongholds of unbelief and idolatry. Raise up faithful witnesses who will share the gospel boldly and with love, that many may come to faith in You. Let Your Word go forth and accomplish the purpose for which You sent it (Isaiah 55:11).
For those in the lives of believers who do not yet know Christ, we pray that You would give Your people the courage and wisdom to share the hope that is within them (1 Peter 3:15). Let their lives be a testimony to Your grace, and may their words point others to the cross. Father, we ask that You would surround the lost with believers who will love them, pray for them, and lead them to the foot of the cross.
We rebuke any spirit of complacency or fear that would keep Your children from sharing the gospel. We declare that the harvest is plentiful, and we ask You to send out workers into Your harvest field (Matthew 9:37-38). Let Your church rise up with boldness and compassion, knowing that salvation belongs to You alone.
Lord, we also pray for those who may be struggling with doubt or who have heard the gospel but have not yet surrendered their lives to You. Soften their hearts, remove the scales from their eyes, and let them see the beauty of Christ. May they come to know that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
We thank You, Father, for the gift of salvation, which is available to all who call on the name of the Lord (Romans 10:13). We pray that many would come to faith in Jesus Christ today, that they would be born again by Your Spirit, and that their lives would be transformed by Your grace. May they experience the joy of forgiveness, the peace of reconciliation with You, and the hope of eternal life.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
